What you guys seem to forget is Ward hasn't faced top competition in FIVE YEARS!!!!!! He's fought 4 fringe fighters at best in that time
I hope I'm wrong but I fear he may get another inflamed knee or in growing toe nail & back out of the fight AGAIN!!
I sincerely hope it happens & the legitimate best man on the night wins the fight. Hope there is no suspect officiating & its a fair straight down the middle fight

What you fail to realize is that you suck at picking fights. If ward wins you'll make excuses and claim he cheated the ref cheated the commission cheated and the judges cheated all for ward.

As big fan of Kovalev,i dont think that hes so good as pure boxer,he doesnt have best chin either but has that game changing power.

Some people like and cheer for big punchers, others prefer pure boxers like Ward.

The way i see that fight is as follows : Ward will have success because hes faster and better boxer, however he is chinny and just moved up from 168,if he gets caught with somehing big its over.

Im sure that Ward would of bullied little G at 168 tho,but Kovalev is other animal.

Like I said before May/Pac If the fight is fair straight down the middle with NO BS!! I'll support whoever wins. We know that didn't happen
Like before Margarito-Cotto 1 I said same thing. That was a fair fight & the best man won
I'll say same here Let it be a fair straight down the middle fight
If Ward legitimately wins I'll apologize for doubting him & accept him as CHAMPION!! Thing is will all you WEard fans do the same if Sergey knocks Ward out??? I doubt it
Over all in picking winners I think Ive done far better than you anyway :hi:

I don't think that's really the flipside. Pascal is a very good fighter, but he isn't a crafty defensive type.

Wladimir Klitschko is an amazing technician and head hunter, he is or was lightyears ahead of any other heavyweight. Chilemba proved to us
That he has an iron mandible and is extremely resilient, Chilemba probably takes 6 or 7 rounds off Ward if they ever were to fight. Wards best win was against a slugger in Froch with no technical abilities whatsoever besides being heavy handed and tough, You people are overestimating Froch in order to prop up Ward.

It wasn't a bad performance! Chilemba just fought well and nullified Kov's power punches for the most part! Kov still was able to put it on Chilemba and handled a slick boxer!

You people are overestimating Froch in order to prop up Ward. Kinda what people are doing with Chilemba to prop up Kov!

    If anything, Froch was underappreciated.

I've been picking Ward in this matchup since this fight was first ever discussed, years ago. I have always picked Ward. However, I would not be "stunned" if Kovalev were to defeat him. And, if I'm picking a scorecard result of what I believe will be the consensus opinion, I'll predict Kovalev manages to win more than 2 rounds.

Kov should win more than 2 rounds! But he needs a better plan against Ward than he did against Chilemba! He can't try to load up on all his punches. If he comes in with a varied attack he will have good success! The thing that I noticed in his last fight is he doesn't really try to counter much. He just moves back! He is used to controlling space and being first. Chilemba, at times, didn't allow him to do that. I think Ward will key in on this and try to be first more often. I can't wait for this fight! 2 guys at the top of their game and both of which I like! I'm predicting a double knockout draw!!! Any takers?

Cosnidering what we've seen last week, Kovalev could probably be stopped, too.
