Also the fight has to take place at november 2nd, so Canelo can cycle according to plan. Also that would only leave 2 months of testing, when he was caught the last time he had to do 11 weeks of testing. But of course it's DAZN's fault and the date cannot be moved....

If he wins this, I think they'll make Canelo the franchise catchweight champion...

King of 150 and 155lbs. Also won a belt at 164 and gave Floyd a solid fight at 152.
He has done it all! Upwards and onwards!

This has nothing to do with Golovkin. I don't understand why Canelo fans equate anything Canelo related with Golovkin.

And this is people reporting on what would be their reaction to a catch weight fight with Kovalev.

If its catch weight then the fight is total garbage.
Kovalev is old and shot and they are still scared of him. Canelo is a рussy.

Canelo fought Chavez jr at a catchweight. You think he'll fight Kovalev at 175?

gg wouldnt fight kovalev even with an AK47. Still you hug his nuts nonstop.

Imho cannelo can do whatever he wants, you wouldnt give him credit for anything anyway, the same way you did with mayweather, ward, rigo and with any other extremelly successful non eastern european fighter.

Who is this aimed at? Seems a nondescript outpouring of grief aimed at the internet.

And if you think he can do what he wants because he's a big star then you're what's wrong with fandom.

Their initial preliminary agreements were 175 with a rehydration clause (Egis and even Kovalev himself mentioned it).

I guess something changed after the Yarde fight. Maybe Kovalev performed better than expected.

I don't see a problem with a catch weight, Mayweather Pacquiao and other greats have done it.

It was more ridiculous dragging a Walter weight fighter in Brook all the way to 160, but of course you were cool with that.
