He was leading the fight up until that point even though the AMERICAN ref allowed a ton of low blows that eventually lead to what should have been a DQ win for Kovalev. Personally I don't give any legitimacy to Las Vegas whatever commission since this same commission among other things sanctioned the Conor McGregor vs Floyd joke of a fight and as such it has absolutely no legitimacy. Therefore I don't care what they decide. Europe is the home of boxing and boxing has much more legitimacy here. They can give ward 10 belts if they want, Kovalev is 2-0 up and Ward will need to prove himself.

MVC, I don't understand how could you enjoy such dirty victories. Lot's of my friends do not want to watch boxing in the clear future. This fight was a hit to boxing.
I don't care about the official scorecards, for me anything sport-related in USA holds no legitimacy since they have no legitimate sanctioning bodies. Europe is the home of boxing and the home of sports and I'm glad that USA is losing its ground in boxing. Kovalev won this rivalry and the official results don't matter much because everyone witnessed what happened. I'm very happy about this victory.
Wow you are seriously delusional. "Kovalev won this rivalry"??? How he lost twice in a ROW and JUST GOT STOPPED ! !
He won twice despite everything being stacked against him. The refs, the judges, everything... He even got paid 0 purse for this fight. Kovalev is the biggest hero in boxing and the people's P4P #1.
Kovalev was done. Ward won fair and square even if last blow was low. I had Kovalev up to that point. Surprised 2 judges had Ward up
UHH NO. Actually it was the polar opposite. Everything was stacked against Ward in this fight. The smaller ring, TWO EAST COAST JUDGES. Kathy Duva did her damndest to get this thing rigged for Kovalev, it was abundantly obvious. Kovalev just got beat down, embarrassed and stopped, only to complain about some BS. It was an emphatic victory for Ward.
LMAO. Just listen to yourself. "Fair and square ... even if it wasn't fair and square" If Ward had anything for Kovalev he wouldn't need low blows. He was struck by Kovalev's power and had to resort to low blows and the American ref allowed him to do whatever he wanted. Why wasn't a point deducted? He should have had a point deducted twice.
