LMAO... east coast judges! Maybe we shoud have some judges from the west of Russia for rematch then. Just to assure it's fair, the American style.
Give credit to Ward for what??? If it was just that shot in the head and the other to the body and to the head that would have been clear Ward win and he would have got all the credit. But he did it the worst way. So sorry, not even a credit, I won't consider Ward boxer anymore, such disgrace should not be in the ring.
Look at how insecure these Ward supporters are. It's almost as if they feel their boy didn't achieve his "victory" fair and square!
If you watched the pre-fight buildup on HBO, they made a point to show that Duva specifically insisted on new judges. The fact is that Duva's company is based out of NJ and they got a NJ judge on it who just so happened to be the only one who had Kov ahead at the time of the stoppage, by 3 points. They also insisted on a 20 foot ring.
Yeah clearly Russian have nuts in their navel and the moon is made out of cheese. Once you leave your communist tinfoil hat and might come to reason you might acually see what happend.
Ward hurt Kovalev with a right hand, beat him up, finished him off with some borderline beltline shots, and Kovalev's response was to hunch over with his hands down. The dude was done. Just accept it.
In my mind, and on CompuBox as far as I can tell, Kovalev both won the first fight and was clearly winning the second fight through seven rounds. I think Kovalev was about +23 in punches landed through Round 7 of the second fight. This is why, to me, if you are Kovalev's team you really need to think seriously about whether you want to go through another bout with Ward in the USA, with USA judges, and a USA ref. Not sure much is going to change, fair or not.
