If it were to happen in 1 or 2 fights time (Yardes next fight or early 2020) Who wins and how?

Yarde needs to go twelve rounds a few times. If he can build up the gas tank to do twelve rounds without any problems, he's a competetive fight for any world champion. The problem is the LHW champions are excellent so he's likely to lose to them all. The aging Kovalev was his best chance but he took the fight too soon. With more experience and a better gas tank I think he could've beat Kovalev. Unfortunately he won't get that opportunity again.

Won’t happen, Kovalev is done and will cash out against Alvarez

Yarde needs to go back to the level he should’ve been fighting at like Murat or boesel for the ebu

I think buatsi boxes yardes ears off in a few fights time

Yarde could really do with a buglioni or burton fight. I think both are now retired but would be a lot more competitive, good for the casuals and a chance for Yarde to look good and build confidence. I'm no big Yarde fan but did enjoy the fight Saturday, he did much better than I think anyone anticipated, but he didn't look good. He looked exactly like what he was. An inexperienced tough guy who didn't know how to change the tide. When he eventually did land his inexperience showed. He could have finished kov and what he should have done for me in hindsight was stick his nut on kovs chest, lean on him drag him around and really pile hard body shots into kovs ribs and his solar plex. Kov was ****ed, he was taking a few rounds off to do what he done from the 9th onwards and Yarde should have taken kovs soul. He tried knocking his head off but he could have kept kov tired. Hopefully he will learn but I doubt he will if he sticks with tunde. I find tunde irritating and very self obsessed but by round 8 I was giving him credit as they must have been doing something right. But what I've heard since; tunde not giving Yarde instructions in the corner, telling Anthony lions in the camp when ants saying it's hard. Not pulling Yarde out when he was eating hard straight punches. These are the basics. Nobody needs a brave corner man. Yarde wasn't going to quit. I assume Yarde is alright because we haven't heard anything. But the shots he was eating, I was worried about Yardes longevity. Middleweight to light heavy is the most deadly weight. You're big enough that you really can whack your opponent, but one punch knockouts are very rare in that kind of weight category.

Yes, with the exception of one...though he’s the LHW Hughie Fury...don’t see any point in Yarde fighting him now.

In reality why would kovalev want to rematch someone he lost 1 round in 11 before stopping him?
Anthony just needs to earn a shot again by fighting decent opposition before challenging again for the WBO belt

I agree, though he definitely won 2 rounds and I gave him 3. The main point stands though...absolutely no cause for a rematch whatsoever. Same result again...

What 3 rounds did you give him mate, I’m presuming 7 & 8? 3 is very generous. I gave him the 8th.

Totally no need for the re-match. Yarde was systematically broken down and then stopped.
I'd like to see the burton fight. Although i doubt they take a british level fight.
Expect the yarde bum carosel thread to gain at least ten more pages.

7&8 were the two I felt he definitely won. I think the other I gave him was round 3 but I’d have to rewatch to be sure. He was doing ok early on but would then get hit by several jabs, which was losing him the rounds.
