Aight. Seemed like you were saying that literally right on the heels of me expressing those exact sentiments about Darnell and therefore putting your target on me, though...chalk it up to bad timing, I guess...:good
With that kind of power it doesn't matter. If either guy lands their big shot properly, the other guy is going down.
True, but if you were to lay a bet and the power is presumed roughly equal, go with the better chin. :yep Unless one guy is a lock to land 'the big one' first...which isn't the case. Stevenson (if he is smart) will give Kovalev opportunities to move forward to counter him from outside. Moving in either direction poses danger for Stevenson despite having the quicker hands and being more athletic. Getting walked down and trapped on the ropes moving backwards would spell doom, but so would coming forward and standing in front of Kovalev in a gambit to render him less effective on the unfamiliar backfoot if the gambit doesn't work and Kovalev doesn't budge. Stevenson's footwork needs to be on point for him to stay in the game and set himself up to be first to land, and even then it will be high tension and no guarantee that he does.
Yeah, guess you ain't been paying attention then have ya? Been plenty of posts and threads 'bout Boone and his epic resume, and it's old news that Boone dropped Kovalev and Ward (and KOd Adonis) Just cos' you only just noticed, don't mean its news. You dislike Kovalev then? Any particular reason for that? Sounds like you may have an issue. EDIT. Ah fukkit..guess I know some of the posters you're getting at..just as a Kovalev fan don't like being grouped in with the racist f#ckwits.
Actually what you're saying isn't true. Many people didn't know that Kovalev was dropped by Boone. That's why they think it's all rumors. IB disproved it earlier in this thread. So now if people criticize Ward for having a glass jaw, they should say the same for Kovalev too. :hi:
Old news among those who've followed Kovalev since long before most casuals knew about him. Many casuals don't know Ward got dropped either.
It's funny because many who claim to have followed Kovalev his entire career don't know of this fact. :rofl
Darnell Boone is an enigma. He has a KO ratio of only 19%, yet his list of knockdown victims includes Adonis Stevenson, Andre Ward and Sergei Kovalev!
Who claims that? :huh Only the extremest of extreme diehards knew him before the Simakov tragedy. Most only caught wind of him as of Campillo or Cleverly.
KO% includes losses, draws and no contests and can be deceiving. Close to half of his wins are by knockout. When motivated he nearly always hurts opponents. A lot of his points victories and maybe even some of his losses to prospects might've been KO wins if he was fully trained & motivated.
i don't know u as a poster, but if the shoe fits? if not, it doesn't apply to you. i have no issue with Kovalev, just pointing out the hypocrisy.
