I'm not in a hurry. It doesnt matter, if not beterbiev, someday he will be 40, or maybe more, and someone will do the job. Will love to see his face while crawling on the canvas. Edit: Hope he will have the guts to get up with his broken eye so that the guy can break his nose too. Who knows, I know plenty of "hard guys" that are hard only when they hit and cry-babes when get hitten. I'll love to see what he's made of, someday we'll find out, and if he's a quitter that would be sooooo funny.
Well.... watch when he KOd Campillo He just turned round and walked away. No disrespect, no taunting, no mocking, just walked away job done Kovalev on the other hand.... got wrestled to the ground and deliberately drove his knee hard into a grossly overmatched mando's ribcage That and all the other antics posted in here Totally uncalled for, and nasty as hell If he just stuck to the boxing and showed more respect and class, people like Chacal wouldnt feel the way they do about him. But he brings it on He's a nasty sadistic bast8rd
I can't wait till Beterbiev gets his hands on him. Trust me, this tough guy attitude is going to be wiped off his face when Artur crushes him.
Golovkin is a complete monster between the ropes but very polite and classy, just business like nothing personal, same as someone like Pacquiao, Pacman loves touching gloves and smiling in there between the punishment he dishes out, Kovalev just looks and acts like a barbarian
That's a generous offering from Kovalev. He may have a mean streak in him, but he definitely isn't trying to kill anyone on purpose. He's just doing his job in there. If Kovalev holds back, he could end up being the one getting hurt in there. That's the nature of the sport. Everyone boxer knows the risks, before they step in the ring.
Maybe he does feel compassion, just doesn't show it for his own benefit as a fighter. Think about it, you are a fighter who just got knocked down and are barely able to get up by the count of 7... You know if the ref lets you go back out there you could die... Knowing that it might encourage some guys to stay down and just take the money and fight another day. Easier nights work for Kovalev if his opponent is afraid for his health. Although it doesn't seem like he is eager to shake his opponents hands etc after the fight...
Some of those opponents were talking smack pre fight. I like that he throws it back in there face rather than shaking their hands.
Exactly. They say if you love your work, you never work a day. I'll add that anyone who's ever been involved in combat sports should know that if you hold back in the ring, for fear of hurting someone or whatever the reason, you risk yourself in the process. It's all-in or stay out. As for his ring antics, maybe they are just ticket-selling antics. As you said, until reports surface of him doing harm out of the ring, I see no evidence that he's nuts... Every good fighter can tap into a mean streak in the ring.
