Kovalev's Resume Is NOW BETTER than GGG's. Yet He Doesn't Get As Much Hype Or Credit.

I can see why G has a lot more hype around him.

His 'gym legend', his fighting style, his KO streak, hes got a lot of 'wow' moments (rosados blood, stevens face after kd, punching through geales punch for the ko), hes got known catch phrases and quotes (you serious? / good boy) and middlewight is more of a glamour division recently then light heavy.

Not that im saying its more warranted or that I agree with the hype. Only that I can see why the masses are getting behind Golovkin more.

Hopefully Kovalev can start getting the attention he deserves soon.

GGG will shine like no other boxing star once all the big name cowards grow a pair and face him. He's more skilled than Kovalev and just as willing to face everyone

Kovalev is way more predictable than GGG, with less variety of punches and skills. GGG is a more methodical destroyer

GGG's footwork for one and overall fluidity doesn't come close to Kovalev's

I think Golovkin is more skilled then Kovalev. I think Kova may be a little more talented (athletic) to go along with his good skills. I think right now Golovkins skill gets underrated. He applies a lot of educated pressure and does a lot of subtle things to set the fight in motion the way he wants.

But true skills is how you overcome adversity. Sometimes fighting overmatched opponents can create an illusion of capabilities that are not available when the level of opponent is raised.

This is what I want to see from GGG as well, he's bowling everyone over, but how will he react when fighting a guy that can take it and dish it out as well.

Problem is idk if such a guy exists in the 160 division. Still I think GGG is more skilled than Kovalev

Cleverly & Campillo, one an undefeated world champion and the other a would-be unified world champion.

Kovalev's resume was better before he beat Hopkins so after his last couple wins and this is what you have. I understand people like GGG but honestly Thurman beating Guerrero is better than everything GGG's done and for all the hype he gets that is embarrassing.

Now you're just being silly. Guerrero has one semi-decent win at the weight, Andre Berto who was down on the cards against Lopez.

yeah.. the krusher can now claim to have eclipsed GGG and you can't help but respect the way he's done it.
