If Ward's power was so insignificant then fighters would just walk right through him. Since they don't I think we have to conclude that his punches at least pack enough juice to have the effect he desires in throwing them, which is to control, frustrate, manoeuvre, and break down his opponents, not necessarily to separate them from their consciousness.
You're seeing something that's not there. You're desperately reaching. Kovalev had his chance to intimidate Andre months ago. He FAILED. If he beats Andre, fair play to him. We may see a trilogy. But don't try and kid yourself that Andre fears him. Go and watch the interviews from the presser.
I like Kovalev but if his power was so non existent than surely he would have stopped Ward by round 3 or 4
"Ward slaps like a girl, blah, blah" Why couldn't he finish the job early then? Why did he look bewildered in the last 3rd of the fight, devoid of ideas? Oh, it's because he over trained, right? His aura of invincibility has now been destroyed. He wasn't a T-1000 after all.
He will be this time round Join me in the making Kovalev angry thread, and i'll have a wee wager with you too if you have such conviction in your wards
He made a point by outboxing Ward. His stock rose more after his technical tactical victory than it would if he just put Ward out there in 3 rounds. Then everyone would say Ward was shot/overrated/chinny. But now they are forced to accept Kovalev as the master boxer.
He may be mate, but if Andre was truly afraid and intimidated, the fight wouldn't be happening. Thanks for your reply in the Super Six thread, I'll reply over the weekend at some point.
I think Sergey mutilates Ward in the rematch. Even worse than prime Calzaghe. What do you think of that? Oh and we'll be waiting for your reply over the weekend ANXIOUSLY. Lol
Nonsense. Andre had already proved himself as an elite fighter. If Kovalev had've bombed him out early, it would have been classed as a truly epic victory, with Kovalev being hailed as one of the greatest LHW's of all time, and the most dangerous P4P fighter on the planet. Kovalev is not the master boxer. He was out boxed, and he looked totally devoid of any ideas in the last 3rd of the fight. The truth is: He bought into his own hype and thought he could just overpower Andre.
Kovalev clearly won at least 2 of the last 3 rounds lol. His epic victory over Ward where he outboxed the master boxer is better than just steamrolling him. Everyone would say Ward is shot in that case or that his pathetic chin simply can't hold up at 175. Andre hasn't proved anything in the last 4 years before that fight and has had 2 fights at 175. People would come up with excuses. Now they can't do anything but accept Kovalev as the P4P great.
I think if it doesn't happen, you'll cry like a baby, before unleashing numerous hate threads upon us.
I don't care where I am. I'm not influenced by other people and I don't debate on emotion. Look how desperate you are. Posting videos up, trying to convince yourself that Andre's afraid. Ha!
