He's very exciting and he has really quick hands. He also has a ton of power and doesn't seem fazed by anyone's punches.

I get that he appears as one who is pretty fat, but does it really matter what you look like? Isn't boxing not about muscles and body shape but rather technique, punching ability, and evasiveness?

I don't get why there isn't more hype for this guy. He demolished Szpilka and Washington, two former HW title contenders and he beat former HW champion Charles Martin. He's cleared out the landscape of top HW's who fight in the US.

I think in anything lower than HW it important to remain in top physical shape because it plays a weight advantage in the fight. But why does it truly matter at HW?

I think he just needs to be more promoted. The guy has no personality. He's to humble for his Fighting style

He was POOR vs. Martin. The fight was very close and many guys out here scored it as a draw and he would have lost a 12 round fight i think as Martin was taking over.

I mean guys like Szpilka and Washington are good matchups for him as both can't deal with pressure.

I think he is definitely a guy to watch out for especially vs. opponents who can't box and lacking stamina and movement. But any decent boxer out there who has good footwork and movement and a jab will beat him.

Chisora beat Takam, wasn't pretty but he did do it. Washington ain't anywhere near Takam level.

Well... his style can only take him.so far.

As far as his head can take the next punch.

    Takam C+
    Washington C-
Washington beating washed up Fast Eddie is just about on par with Takam's best win.

More like Washington is U for unclassified as a boxer.

He is 6 ft 6 with muscles for nothing. He couldn't knock out 7 year old angela on my street if he tried.

Takam would wipe the canvas with Washington.

Good show by Kownacki, though lets not overhype him like a kid.

But we knew Wilder was a joke anyway. Limited skills... one good punch.

Takam's best win Duhaupas(?) preforming decent against Povetkin
Washington's best win Mansour/Chambers Preformed decent against Wilder
I think they're closer matched, I'd like to see Washington-Takam. Both had bad preformances in their last outings imo

Partly at least, and unfortunately thats how it will always be and how its always been, regardless of how unfair it is. To REAL mother****ers, looks dont mean ****, only results and substance.

Kownacki -- to the shock or dismay of some -- is never gonna be a world beater/multiple belt champion/defending champion, and probably not even a paper champion, but he does have substance and can fight his balls off, though boxing is not fighting and is something else entirely.

IMO his substance and results will far exceed casuals expectations of him solely based on his appearance and body type.

Helenius had better wins on Peter and Brewster, never had a title fight.
