Some people don't seem to realise that Krasquitti is a washed up bum, who hasn't had a good fight since getting knocked out twice in one fight by Brewster. It would only be competative if Lyakhovich is really totally past it himself, which I don't believe. He didn't look to great against Valuev but this was Valuev's best performance in years.
It is pretty hard to look good against Valuev, with is size and impressive jab, yes. Maybe Liakhovich can show he's still got something left in this fight, cause Valuev sure didn't allow Liak to show anything.
I agree completely....I don't get to say that too often when posting! Liakhovich-Brewster and Brewster-Krasniqi fights may have done in all of these fighters. A fighter has only so many punches he can take just like a car has only so many miles it can run. A sad but true fact, I only hope that all of these guys get out of the game with some of their marbles left.
Good post, nbt! I quite agree with you. Lyakhovich didnt look that impressive against Valuev, but it for sure was Valuev's best perfomance within the last 2 centuries.
Exactly. The real question here, I suppose, is who wants it LESS. At their peaks, Krasniqi wins, but at this point, it's a pick 'em. I reluctantly go with Kras, as even though he is washed up, he still has superior natural ability. Krasniqi by late TKO
He looked good against both Guinn and Briggs (except the knockout part). Sergei is a solid fighter, but he has to get in shape. He was very, very soft against Valuev and clearly had ring rust. He's only 31, it's a bit early to write him off, especially if he gets in shape and gets his weight down. Krasniqi is certainly beatable, too.
Both did nothing in their last fights, just climbed up the ring to serve as punch bags, trully lousy. This fight promisses to be a stinker all the way, no punches thrown, no chances of a KO, nothing at all, just one more reason for people to keep bashing at the HW division.
