Nahhh don’t like it! Wlad needs a tuneup first. Then go after the winner of Parker vs dubois. Then finish his business with Fury. If he actually wins those… man… he gets even better on the ATG rankings.

He’s not beating Usyk. lol 32 year old Wlad would be a 50/50 fight against Usyk. Now??? No

ONE DECISION RETROACTIVELY RESHAPES HIS ENTIRE HISTORY!!!! This is why boxing fans are so fickle and it's why fighters like Joe Joyce are put in threads like "Joyce vs Prime Tyson" after a win or two, and subsequently "Slow Joyce vs 50yo butterbean?" threads.

I am going to very respectfully disagree with you, here. 13 of Usyk's last 14 have been titlists or ranked contenders. The winner of Dubois-Parker should be next, and he has said that he only wants 1-2 more. So this would be the last fight, and in context, it would be an acceptable swan song fight in my book...a final goodbye kind of thing. And the two of them may be floating this because they have decided that they want to do an all-Ukrainian fight, or something, for nationalistic purposes.

    I don't think its a great idea, but I don't think it makes him a sell-out, either.

The amount of trash Fury rightfully got for fighting Chisora 3 and Ngannou, they were at the very least live fighters.

Wlad is 48 years old. It would be disgraceful if Usyk fought him, and something I'd expect more from someone like Jake Paul.

Yes, but again, the issue is that Fury fought them throughout his whole career. He is officially "retired" with three of his top ten wins being Derrick Chisora, and 1 being Kingpin Johnson.

And no, Ngannou should not have been live.

Usyk's legacy is cemented because of how he has aggressively pursued the best.

I am not saying it is a great fight, but it would not be bad a one to end on, and would in no way effect his towering legacy.

Ngannou at least was a HW UFC champion and arguably in his prime.

It's an outright mockery. I don't care if he went back in time and beat every champ in history, there's no excuse for beating up a 48 year old who hasn't had a professional fight in ANY sport in 7 years.

    Definitely a sellout imo
    Agree to disagree

I just hope he doesn't take it

I wouldn't call it a sell out, but definitely a bad look not worthy of the champion. I want the same energy from the public Fury got fighting Chisora and Ngannou. Otherwise it's just hypocricy.

I don't think Uysk would fight him but I know other top heavyweights probably would if given the chance.

He can drop the titles and say it's his last fight
Or at least make it not for the titles

Floyd came out of retirement to fight that idiot mcgregor, no title was on the line.

I won't go bash Usyk continuously like I used to if this happens, but fanboys will say nothing. They will say he has earned the right after fighting from home, etc

Let's be honest, did he have much choice to fight away from home? If he was an American he would have had every fight in Vegas, or a Brit in London

I just hope this is rubbish. He has only had 23 or so pro fights and Wlad is 50 this year. Might as well call out Lewis next

    Correction, 49 this year

He will still be the lineal champion even without the titles, so it's still a bad look. But if it was an exhibition fight? Why not.

If it's competitive or the impossible happens he somehow loses (he won't) then it will affect his legacy very much

Do you think it will happen? I don't
If it does? It will be one black stain on an great career. Nobody is perfect

Yes I'm a Fury fanboy and anyone going back can see I was one of the posters who trashed him heavily for fighting chisora 3 and Ngannou

Granted that was when fights with Aj and usyk were on the table, so looked maybe worse. But Chisora was still a legitimate fighter, much more legit than a soon to be 49 year old man who has been retired years

Maybe Fury or Joshua can fight vitali in the undercard?

    Hopefully this is a joke

I hope it doesn't and I don't think this will materialize. But we'll see.
