Mickey Goodwin was a middleweight who went 40-2-1 but mostly over opponent types. His best was was probably a decision over journeyman Teddy Mann.

I believe he was the one originally slated to fight Marvelous Marvin Hagler for the title when he broke his hand in training and William “Caveman” Lee — another Kronk guy who fell short of title aspirations — was brought in as a substitute to get stopped in one by MMH.

David Braxton was a pretty good fighter. Beat James"Hardrock"Green and lost a disputed decision to Duane Thomas when both were coming up.

I think Mickey could have given Marvin a couple of good rounds before losing around the fifth or sixth round.
