I didnt vote as i have not seen Arslan.Give up your house. Stick to the topic. 41 wins 31 KO's and that's feather fisted?Or did you watch a fight of his expecting him to get a KO and when he didnt you labeled his as.
Alexeev should take over the CW division... but as he's an Universum Box-Promotion (Spotlight) boy, it's hard to see him fighting everyone. What a waste of talent!
No he hasen't. You can click on the numers where the votes are and check and see for yourserlf who voted for what, as I enabled this tool in the poll. Everybody did. Especially his biggest nuthugging fan, ukitaz aka unitas. I remember when people on this board did their top 10 cruiserweights and Huck was at number 2 on most people's list. Just goes to show you how overatted he was tho.
Relatively feather fisted. The Pole has enough pop in his fists to stop the true no-hopers out there.Thats why he has such a padded record with such an impressive number of ko victories. Have a closer look at his fight record and you will notice how pathetic his record really is. I am not even going to speak about his loss to Melkominan. Wlodarczyk went the full route with Karanevich winning a lucky split decision over him on his home turf.I havent seen that fight, but according to a Polish poster who did watch that fight live the outcome of that fight was a robbery in open daylight. The official fight reports at that time also spoke about a highly controversial outcome. Furthermore the Pole needed 7 rounds to take out that box clown from Germany,Bruce Ozbek. He also had to go 10 rounds in a quite close fight with Rudiger May. Damn! Hide wiped the floor with him in his last fight taking him out in 2 rounds. Gourov totally destroyed that harmless German within 3 rounds.Even Jonny Nelson who wasnt that known for his punch stopped that guy faster than Wlodarczyk. Avila from Argentina. Wlodarczyk needed 6 rounds to take him out. Alexeev brutally stopped him in the very first round of their encounter. By the same token Wlodarczyk went the full route with a totally shot Imamu Mayfield who had been stopped by Nwodo in 1 round as well as by Jonathan Banks. Sebastian Hill. Another fighter with whom Wlodarczyk had to go the full route. Hill has been stopped whenever the met decent opposition in the ring.Wlodarczyk couldnt stop him. A decent looking record can be quite deceptive, cant it! Wlodarczyk's fight record is one of the weakest of all top 15 fighters at cruiser weight. He struggled with Karanevich, lost to Melkomian, had a close fight with May,two horrible encounters with Cunningham, and a competitive fight with the then totally shot Imamu Mayfield. Bah! I would always bet my money on someone like Licina or Suda against the overrated Wladarczyk.
Huck number 2 on most people's list? I have no idea! He wasnt the number 2 on my list.Thats for sure! Nevertheless,I did think that he would beat Cunningham after his impressive performance against top ranked Vadim Tokarev. And yes,Huck was probably a bit overrated a couple of months ago due to that very convincing performance against Tokarev. And the other hand Huck is a very young and very inexperienced fighter. He didnt have a long amateur career, and neither has he had a very long pro career up to now.He still needs to learn one or two things before rematching Cunningham, but the talent and the power is there. Huck is no bum. He solely relied on his firepower against Cunningham hoping to the one decisive punch which never found its target.Huck made a stupid mistake. His coach went beserk yelling and shouting at him during the fight and after the fight as the young fellow didnt stick to the fight plan. It was a stupid mistake, but he is young and will be back. Cunningham showed a flawless performance against Huck-much better than I thought before. However,I am still not sold on Cunningham. IMO there are better fighters at cruiser who will beat him.
Wlodarczyk overrated? Oh please, lol. Im a fan and know hes not really THAT good, but hes still a top 10 contender.
Yea he was on a lot of peoples list in the top 2. Even above Jean Marc Mormeck, who at that time was Cruiser Champ!
Clearly relying on boxrec too much there buddy!Watch the Melkomian fight and get back to me. I now see why your logic is so flawed and your approach to predicting fights is so far off. George Foreman destroyed guys that Ali struggled with and what happened?Fighter A beat fighter B in 4 rounds.Fighter C went 12 rounds with fighter B so there is no chance in hell fighter C can beat fighter A.Your logic is ******ed. This content is protected In order to be overrated you first have to be highly rated/overhyped.I dont see any of that coming from anyone.Wlodarczyk is limited...something we already know.
You are right in saying that styles make fights. Thats why I said in one of my previous posts that Wlodarczyk will be a relatively dangerous opponent for Arslan.I still dont think that the Pole will be able to dethrone Arslan, but he will probably fare better than Drozd up to a certain degree. However,I would always bet my money on Drozd against Wlodarczyk. Styles make fights! My logic is flawed, and so are your logic, mate! Didnt you cite his ko ratio to prove that he is a kind of banger? By the way what about Calloway? Which number does he have in your cruiser weight list? Fighters are not machines or robots.I can only speculate on the outcome of a fight, and my knowledge of a fighter is based on what I have seen on him so far and what I can deduce from his fight record. Melkomian vs Wlodarczky didnt prove that much. I still have no idea why their encounter was really stopped, but Wlodarczyk didnt look that convincing against him up to the time it was stopped. Neither did he look that great against May,or in his two fights against Cunningham. A pity that I havent seen Karanevich's fight with Wlodarczyk! Anyway! Wlodarczyk has a pathetic fight record for a fighter who is supposed to be a top 10 cruiser weight. Two horrible fights with Cunningham, two close fights with two gatekeepers( Karanevich and Abdoul),and a lot of ko victories over extremely limited opposition. What has he really done to deserve a spot among the top 10 at cruiser weight? Yes,style make fights.Thats why he will look relatively good against Arslan and lose big time against most other top guns.Thats why Adamek who punches above his weight will probably look quite good against Cunningham, too. Huck? You called him a bum, didnt you? He would probably beat the living **** out of Wlodarczyk, and so would Tokarev,Alexeev,Drozd,Braithwaite,Hide,and...............and..... . I would also bet my money on Suda,Gourov,Jirov,Licina,Hernandez,Frenkel, and Brudov to beat Wlodarczyk. A pity that Arslan doesnt have the style to wipe the floor with Wlodarczyk and to expose his countless flaws!
A constant patern with you.Instead of talking about the fight at hand you try and find some who you think will beat him. You did the same thing with Adamek vs Bell instead of talking about the fight you jump on thread and start talking about some other CW's. Once again BOXREC warrior.WATCH the Melkomian fight and get back to me. BTW Wlodarczyk TKO'd Abdoul a fighter that has gone the distance with guys like Haye,Adamek,Maccarinelli,Huck etc...according to your logic he cracks harder than all of them.
Punch above one's weight Meaning Competing against someone who you are no match for. Origin The different classes of contestants in boxing matches are distinguish by the weight of the competing boxers - heavyweight, middleweight, lightweight, flyweight etc. The sport is regulated so that only boxers of the same weight fight each other. Someone from a lighter weight wouldn't be expected to have much chance if 'punching above his weight' against a heavier fighter. The term is often used figuratively in situations where someone finds themselves competing outside their usual class. For example, the Irish comedian Graham Norton described that, since becoming well-known, he was able to attract better-looking partners than previously and that he was 'punching above my weight' when it comes to relationships. I guess that's what you think of Adamek. 3 fights at CW 2 KO's:hi:
Dont give me that crap! Did you actually watch Wlodarczyk vs Abdoul or did you look that fight up at boxrec? Abdoul is a gatekeeper, a teak tough cookie with an iron chin. Huck and Haye looked quite good against him whereas fighters like Suda ,Fragomeni or Kraj didnt. Calling me a boxrec warrior is like the pot callling the kettle black, mate! You called a Huck a bum who fights like ****,didnt you! Did you actually watch any of his fights apart from his encounter with Cunningham? Wlodarcyzk? A big puncher in your opinion,eh! No big deal to knock out totally overmatched no-hopers with records of 6-16,dont you think so? Calloway is probably among the top 5 of your cruiser weight list! The Melkomian fight??? Whats your point? That fight didnt prove **** other than that Germany is hostile territory for foreign fighters who take on their home boys. Did you watch Karanevich vs Wlodarczyk? I didnt, but according to the fight news and a Polish poster who attetend that fight show live and gave us here on esb a detailed report of that fight it was a robbery in open daylight. The Pole won a split decision on his home turf against a game opponent who was far more active and connected with far better punches during that fight. As for Wlodarczyk vs Arslan the German based Turkish warrior has a proven track with lots of reconisable names and good skalps in his record. He is the reigning champ.Wlodarczyk vs Arslan will take place on Arslan's home turf in front of a hostile crowd. All the odds are against Wlodarczyk. Besides his padded fight record looks like ****.His claim to fame are his two lame encounters with Cunningham. No matter how you twist the facts Wlodarczyk is the huge underdog against Arslan and his fight record looks pathetic compared with Arslan's one.
I have no idea what was the matter with Bell.ON paper Adamek scored a very impressive victory over a good fighter. Did you watch Adamek 's fight with Jalusic? Adamek looked horrible against that journeyman from Croatia. All rounds were competitive and close.Nevertheless,I gave all rounds to Adamek, but he didnt perform very convincngly against that limited journeyman. Adamek is not a natural cruiser weight. He doesnt have the frame and the natural weight to compete there. Cunningham is no big puncher so that Adamek will probably go the full route with him. However, his size and weight will be a factor in a fight against a big natural cruiser like Tokarev,Arslan,or Hide. You were right in saying that styles make fights.Thats why Adamek's size wont be THE decisve factor against Cunningham.Hide,Arslan,Alexeev are all totally different pair of shoes. "punches above his weight" = he shouldnt have moved up to cruiser IMO as he isnt a big natural cruiser weight and will soon find his match in this weight devision
