It's a competitive and exciting division but in terms of skills it's very poor. Lebedev labored to 10th round win over a beyond shot Roy Jones, even losing rounds in the process which shows his level and Tony Bellew is now a world champion ffs.

Well Liam Smith was a Champion is that indicative of the talent at 154? No it was circumstance. Floyd barely eek'd past Maidana who almost lost to an utterly shot Morales, see how that works?

You're overstating the success Jones had but regardless Lebedev has improved dramatically in the last 5 years. Seriously, go watch the Kalenga fight and check out his footwork and defense he's a different fighter since working with Tszyu and now Roach.

Because it wasn't exciting that's why. He got the win.

Besides the point about improvement that was just mentioned, Lebedev was carrying Roy out of respect.

Lebedev didn't fight to hurt him until Roy hit him a little too hard for his liking.
