Round 4

Szeremeta is throwing straight flurries on the brow of Cospolite, who shells up and takes it. Szeremeta peters out and Cospolite takes his turn rolling in right hands up top and slashing at Szeremeta's hips with uppercuts. Szeremeta had a very strong opening minute and banked a lot of points on sheer work rate, landing at not all that high a clip but landing nonetheless due to law of averages - but now seems a little spent and punched out. Cospolite is coming forward dropping right hands. They tie up and both tumble onto the canvas in a heap.

10-9 Szeremeta, extremely narrow - could see it 10-10 or Cospolite's way, easily.

Yeah, I'm actually enjoying it tbh. I just wish this had been on earlier in place of Sushchyts vs. Miszkin so the main event could be underway now.

Not that Sushchyts vs. Miszkin was a waste of time by any means...but there was all that idle time after the female bout when it could've been on. It's just too bad the whole schedule couldn't have been pushed up into some of that filler period with all the commercials & gab.

 

Round 5

Szeremeta is backing up and flicking jabs up from the hip, tired. Cospolite is jumping in on him with left and right hooks. Cospolite is headhunting, making his intentions known on each shot, telegraphing everything - but Szeremeta is unable to escape or adjust. All Szeremeta can do is launch the occasional 1-2 standing his ground or flick up his weak jab while backing up. Cospolite keeps the pressure on for three minutes.

Round 6

Szeremeta is backing up, pushing his jab out into Cospolite's trachea softly. Cospolite wraps both arms around his head and comes in with both arms batting down on Szeremeta's. Cospolite catches a wide looping right on the face cage formed by his arms. A smatteing of light jabs and rights by Cospolite forcing Szeremeta to flee. Cospolite blocks a looping right up top but gets hit with a left hook on the body. Szeremeta is trying to stay close and work the body but Cospolite slaps him out to mid-range and hooks away.

Round 7

Szeremeta is landing his jab, backing up and circling clockwise. Cospolite approaches behind a turtle shell and throws windshield wipers up close, all blocked. 1-2 by Cospolite gets through as Szeremeta backs straight up. Clinch. Szeremeta hooks the body while burying his face in Cospolite's chest. Stiff jab on the mouth by Szeremeta. Cospolite is mauling but not getting many clean punches in. Low blow warning by Szeremeta (actually a headbutt on the groin warning). They flurry at each other at point blank, all light straight punches. Szeremeta gives ground, ducks a few shots and comes up with a jab, scoring.

Round 8

Szeremeta is backing up throwing straight flurries as Cospolite keeps pace with him doing the same. Right hand lashed behind the neck by Szeremeta, tripled up as he slides his feet outside. Cospolite is looking to lean in and go to work but Szeremeta pulls the chair out from under him. Weak jabs by Szeremeta pushed out into the air. Cospolite walks up to him and they tie up. Gum shield out. Ref has Szeremeta's corner replace it. Time in. Szeremeta is throwing light shoeshines at the head of Cospolite, then shoving off with both hands when Cospolite draws near. Sloppy hooks traded, both missing. Clinch. 1-2 by Szeremeta on the chest. Cuffing hook on the side of the neck by Cospolite. Clinch. Szeremeta jabs and throws wild uppercuts until Cospolite brings his guard together, and then Szeremeta applies the clinch. Szeremeta is staying in close, head wedged against Cospolite's chest, throwing wide at the body nonstop.
