Oh wow. I saw the result on Boxrec but the George fight wasn't televised to my knowledge. I'd love to get some firsthand thoughts on it from a ringside perspective.

Did he show any improvement or is he still the same old all-action brawler?

Wow, that blonde walking next to Jonak is gorgeous and super tall.

He has zero jab. Zero. He throws it maybe 5 times a round and he paws. He's still got sick power, you can hear those shots from a mile away and I'm sure his opponent is pissing blood today after the vicious beating he gave him to the body, ultimately wearing him down over 8 to stop him. He doesn't move his head at all but he at least kept his gloves up high enough and kept them tight so that he never got hurt. He's improving but I don't think he's championship level. Still a fun fighter to watch and he's a good draw here.

Both were smoking, but being a tree myself I favor tall women.

    Round 1

Jonak is coming forward, looking very tight. Starikov is reaching in and thumping him on the chest with right uppercuts. Starikov circles, steps inside with his lead foot between Jonak's legs, and uses forearm-blocks and short hooks to keep Jonak from getting off at point-blank range.

Starikov 10-9, Jonak doesn't seem very loose and may need a while to warm up here..

Between rounds they show all highlights of Jonak attacking, but landing nothing (blocked jabs, dodged shots, uppercuts hitting elbow etc.)

    Round 2

Jonak comes forward, his knees bent and legs splayed far apart and a bit wobbly in his balance. A few jabs land flush on the moving Starikov's face but no power punches. Starikov is circling and not able to counter effectively. Jonak keeps sliding his rear foot back in his wide stance, letting Urbanski come to him and jabbing.

    19-19

Jonak landed some nice, heavy jabs and showed good head movement. 19-19.

    Round 3

Jonak comes forward, thrusting his jab out a bit harder now and doubling it nicely. Starikov is backed to the ropes, hopping on his toes and mostly just trying to defend. Jonak comes lunging in with a low left hook and misses. They come together flurrying and both take shots to the face, stunning each other. Starikov jabs and skips backward. Starikov has some nice footwork in close quarters, able to make Jonak miss and reset his own stance every second or so. Jonak looks very annoyed and pushes Starikov hard out of a clinch while rolling his eyes. Starikov is being a pain in his ass, a total spoiler, dancing around him and clinching often, jabbing him in the face. Even the referee looks a little annoyed with the clinching, yelling "STOP! BOX!" and looking pointedly at Starikov. Jonak chases Starikov to the ropes with his jab. A couple of nice right hands from Jonak. Good punch for him, he's been keeping it in his pocket. It scores a knockdown for him. Starikov laughs as he rises, looking embarrassed.

    10-8 Jonak

    29-27 Jonak

Eh...terrible footwork, so-so workrate...up until a moment ago his punch variety didn't seem that great but it turns out he does have a nice powerful right hand when he uses it.

Jonak's nothing special really, IB descriped him well. Good head movement though. 10-8 round of course, 29-27 Jonak.
