Krzysztof Wlodarczyk vs. Giacobbe Fragomeni III RBR

What? Come at me.

The #1 LHW moving up to beat an OK cruiser titlist who is slightly underrated but is fairly one-dimensional and single-gear and has looked beatable several times even in victories? (Frag I & Palacios I spring to mind...)

I am hardly calling the sky purple with green polka dots.

People are high on Diablo since he began this resurgence in the last two years (Green/Palacios II/Chakhkiev) and it has been a great run but he is still the same old Diablo with the same multitude of flaws and hardly among the strongest p4p champs in the sport..

 

Round 1

Wlodarczyk is jabbing down at Fragomeni, stepping to his left in a slow crawl and dragging his rear foot. Chopping right by Wlodarczyk. Fragomeni is doubling hooks into the ribs and bicep of Wlodarczyk, and grinding his way inside with a chopping right, pushing through past Wlodarczyk's jab.

Round 2

Wlodarczyk is placing the jab over and over against the bridge of Fragomeni's nose and then cuffing him with hooks on the nape of the neck as Fragomeni pushes his way inside doubling jabs and shooting right hands up top, all his punches caught on the arms or failing to reach up to Wlodarczyk's jaw, some thumping into his long throat. 1-2 high on the forehead by Fragomeni, countered by a slow but steady triple jab into the eyes by Wlodarczyk.

Round 3

Wlodarczyk is jabbing and shoving as Fragomeni walks into him repeatedly. Wlodarczyk is dropping right crosses in behind the jab but Fragomeni is catching them on the guard. Wlodarczyk instead begins turning his right arm over and using it to shove into Fragomeni's body to send him out into range for more jabs. Wlodarczyk is circling right, now left, going into a deep lean and plugging slow jabs into the body. Left hook on the face by Wlodarczyk. All Fragomeni does is move forward, blocking.

Fragomeni's purse should be withheld, minus whatever sparring partners make.

 

He wouldn't need to gain that much. It wouldn't be like he would need that functional strength to wrestle bigger men in the clinch, as his style doesn't lend itself to getting dragged into them. As long as his chin held up to punches from bigger men, and his power remained at 80% of its effectiveness when landed on them, he could get away with coming in closer to his comfortable 175 than near them at 200 and maintain quite a speed advantage over most.
