Cruiserweight Appreciation Thread Krzysztof Włodarczyk is a 34 year old 6'1 Cruiserweight with a 49-3-1 35 KO's record.. He is the former WBC and IBF Cruiserweight Champion born in Piaseczno, Poland and living currently in Warsaw. A pro since 2000 this Cruiserweight Warrior had until the Drozd fight what should have been a close to perfect record his only 2 losses were close a MD loss to Cunningham and a fight stopped on cuts that went to the scorecard in the 4th round. He's not overwhelmingly exciting, but he tends to get the job done, but his chin while decent seems shaky, I'm not sure how well it would hold up against Makabu or Huck. He also seems like a decent person he's big on charity work and helping those in need, but unfortunately the poor guy is ugly as sin. So Check out the Warsaw Warrior Diablo Wlodarczyk he deserves some credit.:toney:toney:toney:toney Educate Yourselves on Cruiserweights Wlodarczyk Vs. Big fan. His comeback against Chahkhiev after being beaten up badly in the first few rounds was pretty amazing.
Unfortunately it looks like his career is coming to a close. His none effort against Drozd and lack of motivation in previous fights show that his mind is occupied by other things more important to him.
if Wlod had the mentality of Adamek, he'd be #1 CW in the world today no questions asked, very solid fighter, but not always the right mentality in the ring (though he's far from being a headcase like Golota :yep )
Shumenov will always have my respect for schooling Flores, and being his own trainer Poor guy is going to get beaten down here though.
It wouldn't shock me if Shumenov pulled off the win here, he looked damn good against Flores and is with Salas now, and because of that seems to be vastly improved, Wlod hasn't fought in over a year, and he's getting fairly old it may be close to the end for him, and obviously the loss to Drozd may have been the harbinger of that.
The Pole heavily relies on his devastating firepower. He can easily be outboxed but his punch has saved him again and again.Chakhiev easily dominated him till he got knocked out.He also got a shameful home town gift decision against Karanevich who deserved the victory. I guess he will be able to take Shumenov out of action and win this upcomming fight but he will be no match for Lebedev or Usyk and some other top dogs.
