Boxing reached a new low when a coke head, who wears fishnets, became the face of boxing.

 

What about when a coke head, who admitted to faking a broken ankle to get out of a rematch, never had to serve a suspension for his PED tests and is still regarded by some as the HW lineal champion despite himself emphasizing his retirement for well over two years??

 

Looked like 2 guys with 6 months - a year boxing exp on a televised event.

Looked like a circus act to me.

No problem with ksi and Logan making money off it, it’s fun to watch and I’d watch it. I just find it disrespectful to world champions to be on the undercard of it. Boxers are funny when they argue over the most petty stuff out of pride, who gets to walk out first, which corner they get, who’s first billing etc. Here they are supporting act to a couple of clowns.

It’s a bit like watching Nicky Minaj and Kim K playing tennis and having serena or whoever is the champ right now be supporting acts to them, simply because Kim k has more fans. It’s disrespectful to the competitiveness and hard work put in by the competitors.

 

If it was unpaid volunteer work, sure.

But it's not and that is why some force or build a facade personality to gain that extra interest.

I mean, he'd win because those two clowns are levels below, with a few levels below that, below the basement, below the sewers...down deep into the earth's crust. I'd be surprised if they even land clean on old man, walking stick version of Floyd.

And I hope KSI knocks Logan Paul out cold. I can't stand either of them, but Logan Paul just drives me up the wall.

I can’t really think of any reasons why this is bad for boxing. If anything it should get some young Youtuber fans interested in the sport.

Younger people that only watched this fight to see their YouTube hero’s go at it, might want to watch a real top level fight as a comparison and be amazed it how much better they are, and start watching boxing.

 

These guys aren’t making boxing a sideshow or circus, boxing became that long ago. Floyd fighting McGregor and pretending it was a legit match didbmore damage than this fight. Boxing always had a sideshow vibe (remember Ali fighting the Japanese wrestler?) but those fights were not billed as legit. They were more like pro wrestling. Pretending these are real fights is more damaging to boxing but the sport is already damaged.

I think the BAD decisions we’ve seen in recent years does more harm to boxing. Horn-PAC, Ward-Kov 1, GGG-Canelo 1 type decisions are more hsrmful than a couple you tubers fighting. Boxing is beyond repair but there are still moments that remind me of how good it once was.
