According to german media he's coming back on 17 oct against George Arias http://www.x-boxen.com/kubrat-pulev-comeback/8345/
He need rounds after such a long lay off we seen him beat tony thompson after 11 months of inactivity hopefully he does what povetkin does come back stronger. I like pulev he fought like a man vs klitschko... no running scared like 95 % of his oponnents he had very stupid tactic trying to beat klitschko to the punch. ...
Kubrat needs to be more active. He's in his prime right now and should fight every 3-4 months. I hope he ditched his Buglarian team and entourage because they didn't prepare him well for the Wlad fight. His gameplan was awful. Jennings (a guy who's been a part-time janitor until 4 years) did much better against Wlad than Pulev did (an amateur world champion). Game plans and preparation do make a difference.
Good to hear he's not retired. Since he mostly fights in Europe he will probably be targetting the Teper vs Helenius winner. That would be a pretty good fight.
I think they will give him some easy gimme fights for a year or two before he gets anyone like Helenius or Teper.
Reasonable choice of oppoenent for Pulev. He's been off almost a year and got ko'ed pretty bad his last fight. Arias isn't on Pulev's level at all but should give him some rounds. Pulev is still one of the top heavyweights out there, after an easy fight or two I hope he gets right back in with the other top heavies.
He will be 35 soon. As someone with an amateur background he can't waste more time fighting tune ups. He should be back on track asap. I do believe he can beat both Teper and Helenius if he's physically and mentally in shape. He's very good, easily a top 5 HW.
Good guy to get some rounds in against. He does need to fight again pretty quickly after this fight. Hopefully he'll be be back in feb of March.
I agree with you. But after the destruction Pulev suffered at the hands of Wlad Kalle Sauerland was on record as saying "Maybe the Wlad fight was a tad too early" :rofl So that tells me they will go back to easy street.
Not really. He took less than a quarter of the damage Wach and Povetkin took and they bounced back straight away. Pulev lost that fight himself. Anybody will be brutally KO'd if they just stand in one spot with their arms flailing in the open.
