Kubrat Pulev will face Samuel Peter in Sofia, Bulgaria on 3rd December. It is officially announced by the bulgarian media. I don't know what to think about it , it's a great risk from Peter , he hasn't been in the ring for a while and I don't think he showed something superb in his comeback match earlier this week. I don't even see it as a good payday for Peter. Pulev will have his dream match in front of bulgarian audiance and he will be more than motivated to show a great performance. Although it's a missmatch.

Peter's recent fight he was 261 lbs I believe right.
He's gonna get rolled around the ring and decimated.
Main thing he had going for him was his chin, Jameel
Mccline cracked it, and it never came back.

Well this is just a stay busy fight for Pulev. He schooled Chisora earlier this year, he was trying to get the AJ fight. Good to see him stay active at least. Maybe... just maybe Peter will show up and give him a fight. His weight his down from his last fight at least. and I'm sure he'll have it down to at least 250 for this.

Wouldn't be surprised if Peter pulled out though... He's had a couple of biggish fights lined up and every time he's pulled out. Think he was supposed to fight Ustinov a couple of years back.

Peter (younger ten years) would defeat Pulev, easily.
    Now, it is a mismatch........

Pulev keeps his hype rolling with another overmatched opponent. For all the **** others get, Pulev is the most overrated heavyweightson the boards IMO. I've long thought he'd be taken out fairly easily to any of the top contenders operating at world level.

In another era he'd be seen as a decent European champion but no more.

Pulev obviously being carefully matched. It's a meaningless fight against a fighter way past his best days.

This has been his M/O since day 1. Long periods of inactivity before facing a couple of journeymen/washed up former contenders and then trying to set up a big fight. I'll be surprised if this fight actually happens though. Peter will probably pull out.

Was WBC champ and a dangerous name in the 00's, but surprised he's coming back again. I suppose if he wins he's right back in the mix to make a big payday, that must be the logic.

Well Sam Peter and David Haye both have something in common, their last two opponents have been a road sweeper and taxi driver.

Pulev is clearly going to be expected to win this in under 6 rounds, and I doubt Peter will even bother to train for this

I didn't see Peter last fight but from the photo he looks in shape which can be bad news for Pulev since hes not a power puncher . I could see either winning ,Peter can take a punch the only time ive seen him look bad is when he was overweight .

Kubrat Pulev's credentials (his "resume") are relatively good though.
He's only had 24 professional bouts and he's as well qualified as almost anyone out there.
Apart from Wladimir and Povetkin (and the disappearing Fury), I don't see anyone out there with a better resume.

Peter is a poor opponent though.

I think Fury - if he ever comes back properly - Wlad, Povetkin, Joshua, Wilder, Ortiz all take out Pulev. I just don't see where the hype comes from having seen him fight plenty of times now, he looks very average.
