Kubrat Pulev in talks to fight David Haye in June

I can't even begin to get into how completely different they are right now... :-(

 

I would be very suprised also. This would be Hayes second best opponent so far. And a high risk fight.
He could fight two lower fighters and would have the same position. Why should he fight Pulev? Also why should Pulev fight Haye being so close to a mandatory position?
It makes only sense if this fight would be a eliminator fight. But then Haye would have to fight Wladimir again. Thought he wanted to fight old Vitali???
Hmm strange. I dont think HAye vs. Pulev will happen.

 

Also Helenius is a strong contender if healthy. I really dont get people who say he is **** because he has big injury problems. Right now Helenius is a puncher without his strong punching hande. Of course he looks bad when he only can fight with one hand

 

I wouldn't be surprised if this happens though its not the most likely fight for Haye next.

Sauerland & Haye have a good relationship, after the Valuev fight Sauerland made good money off their options on Haye. I thought Haye might face Helenius but he's injured again & its a better fight for Pulev than Wlad imo

It was a year and a half ago when he lost all 12 rounds decisively to DERECK CHISORA, of all people. Looked like utter trash. And has looked shitty in his two fights since... Helenius is not a contender. You'd have to be a big fanboy to rate him in a few spots into the top 10.

 

this would be a very hard fight for both. haye would once again steal the spotlight of wladimir's fight. so from this point of view he should do it if he's confident he can beat pulev.

James J. Jeffries had a torn shoulder against Tom Sharkey and still retained his HW title. Vitali Klitschko had a tear in his shoulder against the very same Chisora and managed to win 9+ rounds from him. Donaire gets a busted vein every fight in his hand should we give him more credit for that? Injuries suck, but just like TKO6, they're a part of the game and if you have them, they're your issue.

I don't need to rewatch it. There were 10 absolutely one sided rounds and 2 rounds which Helenius brought it closer but still lost rather easily. Anyone who scores that fight closer than 10-2 Chisora is an agenda driven idiot who can go back to MMA. So please, sir, go back to MMA. BTW: you overrate helenius. he is powerful that's it! he doesn't have footwork or defence. the fights he had against former champs weren't that decisevely won by helenius although they all were over the hill. he just has punching power that's all. he would lose against the likes of haye, povetkin, pulev, fury, price,...

Of course Helenius is a PUNCHER with a halfway good jab, a good chin and a halfway good workrate! He is clearly not a skillful, technical, boxer!
And thats why he looks **** right now! Because he is a puncher WITHOUT his punching hand! I really cant understand the hate against him.

This isn't true. Sauerland threw Pulev in against Ustinov who is a stylistic nightmare and quite possibly much more dangerous than David.
