I like this matchup. Very likely outcome will be Miller by KO. Pulev isn't difficult to hit, especially now that he's older. There's a slim chance that Pulev survives until Miller gasses, if so Pulev should win by decision.
After Pulev pulled out of the title fight with AJ I hardly care about him, to be honest. He will not face Miller as well. In the unlikely case he does - Miller by UD or even a late KO. Pulev's has hardly faced a legit opponent or even trained for one, since the loss to Wlad. Do not get me wrong - I was one of his fens, until he practically abandoned boxing.
Stylistically not a great fight for Big Baby, Pulev could very well him to school and UD or stop him late.
It's a very appealing fight, but I'm conflicted thinking about who I'd rather see face Joshua after. I was kind of curious how Joshua would handle Pulev, and this fight might preclude that fight. I guess you have to say it's better if the "better fighter" advances to face Joshua. If Pulev can't beat Miller, he shouldn't be facing Joshua. On the other hand, if Miller wins, I feel like I know how Joshua would handle Miller. And so that's a bit less interesting.
you are very good at picking fights style match i agree albeit i think if haymon puts up money and outbids team pulev and gets the fight in america then miller can win by getting a ref who stops pulev holding after landing the jab pulev will not stop miller / ustinov gets overated on esb toughness wise / miller is a genuine tough man clearly loves to fight and will not quit even if behind. pulev is only an arm puncher
If this fight happens there is only one winner. Although he is older now Pulev has excellent technique and fast hands. Much superior to Miller's. Jarell may be big but is not a huge puncher....Pulev would box and move all night and would win quite comfortably on the scorecards
Pulev needs to f** off. Both times he was IBF mandatory before he screwed around playing games. He becomes IBF #1 again, he'll just screw around again since he and Sauerland knows he hasn't a shot in hell at winning the title.
Why wouldn't you take a beating from Joshua instead of fighting nobodies in the divsion (In comparison) with a 10th of the purse? It's a bit like someone offering you £1,000,000 to kick you in the balls twice or £5 for them to do it once....and you choose the latter.
If Pulev is half the fighter he was I'd expect him to win a UD or late stoppage in a similar fight to the Ustinov one. He was a lot more mobile back then, however, and generally a lot sharper and meaner, where now he seems to have declined quite markedly in aggression and that herky jerky mobility that got him success earlier in his career. If Miller trains hard for this one then he could put the pressure on Pulev to the point where Pulev crumbles. But regardless of how hard he trains he'll be eating some big jabs and right hands for more than a couple of rounds.
Pulov no longer has the legs and range he once had and every with him these days is an ugly clinch fest. Big Baby bangs him outa there.
