    Stop posting incorrect information.

IBF June statement on Joshua vs Pulev

Point 3: There will be no request for a unification considered by the IBF
Point 4: There shall be no further exceptions considered by the IBF regarding Anthony Joshua prior to the completion of the mandatory with Kubrat Pulev

    4 months??

AJ ought to respond "sure, but I get to spend the six weeks extra with your wife".

Yes, very true. In fact the IBF don't automatically allow unification to trump mandatories, unlike the other orgs. One needs special permission and it's not a given.

hearn wants the fight at the end of october so he can have the fight outdoors in front of 74000 paying fans

hearn needs to swallow some money and offer pulev more and just get the fight on for oct 31
    money will talk.

So you're saying if Pulev refuses to fight (which he's doing), Joshua simply can never fight again (and keep the IBF title)?

    That's silly.

The IBF will surely consider a request for unification if Pulev steps aside. And he can be paid to do so.

Pulev cannot be a bish about this, and draw it out and then pull out with an injury. I mean what fighters would ever have given him that idea (Cough*Haye* Cough *Tyson Fury* Cough *Hughie Fury*).

Pulev at a minimum can certainly f AJ up and waste a good 3-6 months if he wants to, and not face retribution for it.

Its time the alphabet soup titles got together and were a lot tougher on fighters who play silly billy like this.

Having said all that once Pulev counts himself out of this fight for a second time, then at least we will get to see how good Ortiz really is.

Vlad knocked Pulev out. Pulev needs to get as much money as he can and then take a dive..................at least he will make some big money............

WOW. Either Pulev has a deal to fight Wilder next, or he's letting a chance pass him by.

Just saw a breaking report on Twitter that AJ is going to fight Whyte in October.

If he can fight Whyte, he would have fought Wilder.

    Eh?

Who said that Joshua can never fight again? I didn't and neither did the IBF.

If Pulev gives up his mandatory position then another mandatory will be appointed.

You keep mentioning Wilder repeatedly and I'm not sure why.

Wilder has only started calling AJ out since he has known that AJ is tied up with other commitments. Where was Wilder's desire to fight the best or unify when he went on his run of FIVE voluntary defences and not fighting a single top 10 opponent? Can you tell me that?

Very convenient that Wilder is now suddenly interested in Joshua when he knows the fight isn't available until 2018. Wilder has to wait his turn to fight the champ I'm afraid.

If pulev an AJ were fighting in my back yard I'd close the curtains.

Which means in the interim he can fight someone else.

That someone can be a unification, but instead he's going to fight Whyte it appears.

Wilder was calling him out previously. You just chose to ignore it, as did AJ.

Joshua, as of this minute right now, has no commitments.

Wilder has a mandatory, yet AJ's promoter made a big deal of saying he could fight Whyte. How is that different?

Wilder isn't a big enough name over here.

The big money, in the heavyweight division, isn't in the US.

Joshua vs Whyte makes more money than Joshua vs Wilder.

Let's be fair here. Whyte has fought a higher standard of opponent than Wilder. Sad, but true.

I hope that report is not true. For myself, I don't really wanna see Joshua & Whyte go at it again. While it could be a fun fight like the first one, to me, the fight doesn't really prove anything or move the needle .
