He's past his best but he's still one of the best HWs in the world and I think he'd take Kownacki to Bulgarian slick school. Pole gets jabbed to death via Pulev's pole-like jab.
Not sure I agree with that. Kownacki is a big boy. That's a lot of weight to push around. Hes a mauler. I don't see Pulev as an inside boxer, more of an outside boxer who may not be in his element on the inside. No doubt Pulev is the better boxer. Kownacki brings determination and grit. People get tired from hitting him and frustrated. How much determination and grit does Pulev still have? He is no spring chicken. It would be fun to watch. It would be a huge fight in Chicago. Yeah....maybe. I think it would be more of a war than you might think as I rate Pulev as on the decline.
I think Pulev’s boxing ability is a bit underrated, and would expect him to coast to a wide decision win on the cards.
if ruiz beats joshua he becomes the a side, if wilder couldnt accept he was the a side vs joshua would he do so vs ruiz?
First decent boxer with decent footwork he faces, ala Pulev, pops the myth of the slow plodding slugger Kownacki. Charles Martin almost beat him after being stoned on the couch for 2 1/2 years. Completely shot old slugger Arreola landed on him allnight. Pulev, regardless of his age, has pedigree which is simply beyond Kownacki's level and probably wins every round. Kownacki is being groomed/protected as a Wilder opponent because hes only at that level and will never beat a genuine contender let alone champ.
This is what Kownacki will do to Pulev if they ever fight... This content is protected instead of kissing female reporters, Pulev will be kissing the canvas!!
Yes he did look in good shape and I've always felt there was room for improvement in that area with him.
