Pretty sure this is gonna be some weird hybrid rules thing instead of a straight up boxing match.

 

Yeah, apparently Triller is making up its own combat sport.

 

TRT Vitor wipes the floor with Pulev.

 

Is he fighting Mir or Belfort? Belfort has way better striking albeit smaller man.

It indeed is planned as somekind of a hybrid fight with mma style allowed.

it makes more sense now ( if we need such fancy fights ) since most of us agree that in a regular boxing fight vitor would hit the canvas quickly against pulev .

Yeah, that kind of thing seriously annoys me with a lot of boxing fanboys. They just assume that ALL MMA fighters have terrible technique, and can't hang in the boxing world. The truth is... While MMA striking has always lagged behind boxing, there have always been fighters who could make the grade in boxing had they decided to switch over young enough. Would they become champions? Probably not, but they wouldn't be total bums either. I do think that there have been MMA fighters capable of winning world titles in boxing had they switched over young enough. That may sound insane to some, but remember that there have been kickboxers who have turned over to boxing and eventually carved out respectable careers as contenders, title challengers and even champions.
