i'll be there ringside........wladimir by ko around the 6-9 th round I think..a systematic breakdown for the first half of the fight then he'll turn up the heat.:good
This could very well be one of those fights that has a much different feel live from a good seat as opposed to tv veiwing. Sometimes bouts are like that and I was thinking that this matchup might be one of those types. On tv, I'm guessing Wlad won't be razor sharp early due to the layoff and his age. That said, you may not see the right hand landing early or being thrown much. He may be using it more deflecting the Pulev jab. But real good seats can give you a better feel for a guy's strength. And how is punches move the opponent. I think that's what will happen here and you can sense better--Wlad landing clean punches and the effect Pulev shows. I think he gets moved and even acknowledges solid punches. Watch for a short left hook here to catch Pulev the second half of the fight. Once Wlad gets in that comfort zone of his and warmed up and the deterioration of the opponent has started. Enjoy it & kindly post your insights after the fight please.
I can't believe how people can take the HW division seriously at the moment. I am willing to bet that Wlad could right now fight the WBC top 10 ranked fighters 1 after the other over a 10 day period and he wouldn't lose more than 5 rounds in total in those 10 fights. He is about 3 levels above all the other fighters in the HW division at the moment and he is almost at the end of his career. That in itself shows you how poor it is.
yeah, think you're spot on mate, as soon as the fight was announced I knew I had to be there. and it's no good being up in the gods either!! i'm in row 2 so from that position and angle i'll get a perfect view of foot placement to see how wlad cuts him off and moves pulev into position. I don't think you get a feel for just how hard heavyweights like wlad hit until you see it in real time from a few feet away! i'm going to the weigh in on Friday too so hopefully i'l get some good photos...i'll post them up as soon as I can:good
.....or how good he is?? take klitschko out of the equation and watch fights like povetkin / takam or stiverne / areola on their own merits and they a fantastic heavyweight fights. every time there is a dominant champion he is accused of being boring and the division is supposedly ****....
training camp is now over....wlad waiting for Saturday to put it on pulev. pretty simple really....why would he pull out??
