To be fair, the IBF are probably the strictest sanctioning body when it comes to enforcing their mandatory challengers upon champions -- they allow pretty much no wriggle room -- so I suppose that's the road Joshua has to travel if he wishes to hang onto the IBF strap.

 

Well i was wrong, fair play to Pulev, it wasn't pretty, but he done his job

Hughie started well but the cut just completely threw him

Nobody wants to take a shot with a glove on flush.....So it's no surprise they're always avoiding those bare knuckles.

 

Its probably too late for Hughie to get any better now, there's just too many bad habits ingrained in him.

His shots are being sent off from his knees and take too long to reach the target. He was better off fighting with a high guard since he hasn't the legs or movement to box successfully with his hands down low. If he fought with a high guard he would have reached Pulev a lot quicker and with more variation.
All he has from his current style is a jab and over hand swing.

Joshua vs Pulev would be a good fight for next April. He's a tricky customer but the holding won't work against AJ and i see him getting dismantled badly in the wheelhouse.... Thats if actually Pulev goes through with the fight this time , i won'y be surprised if he bottles out of it a 3rd time.

fury to improvre he needs to get physically stronger /mentally tougher and as brighton bomber pointed out stick to a gameplan and have a plan b

instead he did the same thing over and over / backed up / no variety / no left hooks / no straight shots just jab from the waist and a telegraphed looping right hand

pulev exactly the same look to jab / allowed to control center ring adopt his jab and grab stratergy and his self beleif was stronger than furys.

as usual between the ears wins fights .

fury fitness was poor as well there was nothing on his shots in 9 to 12 they were all arm punch`s

pulev fought ugly in a fight that was never going to be great / fought to his strenghs and won no complaints .

team joshua will not rush to make the mandatory though pulev is not an entertainer anymore.

fury has talent but needs a lot of hard work in the gym weightroom/roadwork / good sparing

he should not have been so fatigued after a relative low punch output fight
