I don't know if Joel Julio is the only one but he has to one of the not-too--many boxers who has had both a 15 fight winning streak and a 15 fight losing streak during his career

 

Al Bernstein has now mentioned in each of the first 3 rounds that Julio is coming off of a 5 year retirement.
Not only is Al repeating the same lines over and over, he is also factually wrong.

Julio is as shot as Al Bernstein.

He also misspoke and said Julio fought Dzinziruk for the heavyweight title 8 years ago. It was for the 154lb belt and it happened 16 years ago.

This is some WBA event and they could not cancel the card, so they had to find a short notice replacement.

Yup. Still going strong. Managed 5 fights in 2023.

He actually retired a year after Angulo beat him down. Then he came back, won a fight and retired for another 4 years. Once again he won a fight and then took a 20 month break.
Since then he has lost 16 in a row while fighting 4 to 5 times a year. And its all vs prospects, so I imagine he is getting paid well.

 

Pulev´s left shoulder freaks me the F out.
