Give credit where credit is due. I didn't think Fury would get past the big Wilder right hand but he did and clearly outboxed Wilder for the remainder of the fight. Wilder is just so one-dimensional that if you can avoid the big telegraphed right hand a top tier HW should be able to beat him.

Fury had more than I gave him credit. The man can take a punch and has the mettle to get up and keep going. Lesser wills would have folded.

When he resurrected himself from the dead in the 12th... That was divine intervention! That moment will go down in boxing history..

The Vlad-Fury fight was so ugly, so pathetic, regardless of how Fury won, I was really not the least bit interested in the guy, but he proved he is more than certainly I thought he was. It just shows so clearly how styles make fights. Wilder was hunting for a KO aggressively for much of the fight while Vlad was in a defensive posture most of the fight. Vlad has more dimensions than Wilder so I think he made a big mistake fighting Fury the way he did. He would have been more effective than Wilder on an offensive footing and would have won the fight, imo.

I was the only one who said Fury would get knocked down twice and still win...this was not in my own thread which I did state Fury has a 70% chance of winning...great fight but does Fury stand a better chance in a second fight? I know that answer.

The way he woke up in round 12 is historical indeed

    I've never seen it before.

He was out cold, woke up within 4 seconds and started fighting back. That's not normal.

If this was a 15 round fight Wilder would have folded. You can't defeat a man like that. 256 pounds and he just kept going all night long.

When was the last time we saw a heavyweight fight where we didn’t want to see the final bell? 15 rounds would’ve been awesome and I think Fury would’ve done him.

I scored it 114-114. Not a fan of either guy before or after lol.

But yes, props to Fury who showed stamina I didn’t think he had left. A very crafty difficult to tag fighter...a resilient 12th rd that I have not seen outside of WWE undertaker. Both guys impressed me and I hope to see part 2. Still not a fan of either guy, just a fan of the best fighting the best...and since Joshua won’t these 2 will do

Joshua will. The outcome of this fight only makes paydays for either fighter with him that much bigger.

He might? Personally I think he is the best out there, but found his negotiating tactics annoying. However shrewd his team thinks they were, Fury and Wilder both grew in prestige in future negotiations. If they square off again he might regret that...again I am not a fan of him but do think he is superior to Fury and wilder in the ring. But he may not find himself quite in the power seat he envisioned

Kudos to Ben Davison as well. To take a 400lb suicidal Fury to the level showed last night is an incredible achievement
