He got his revenge but I dont c this guy beating Gassiev or Lebedev let alon Usyk. Yea he showed good power in his hook but he never kept the man down. Couldnt land a clean rt hand. His footwork is not very good..he was at times jumping in with punches..his hands are not very fast. It seems to me hes over hyped having scoring all KO's against guys who werent all that good or past there prime. Time will tell though as I wish nothing but the best for this guy as he brings a unique presence in the ring. Just my opinion.
He's a B minus level fighter in my eyes but it's just brilliant seeing someone who prioritises power the way he does and the shots he lands on his opponents are just concussive.
He is puncher who has punchers chance to beat anyone at good night. I give him 10% chance against Usyk. If he lands that left hook he can win.
He's crude and slow and hittable. Really a very average fighter in many ways. But his power is once in a lifetime fight ending stuff. I honestly think he might be the hardest punching cruiserweight in history, or top three at the very least. Durodola's a tough mutha and Kuds just crumbled him with every shot he threw. He's likely not breaking any higher than lower tier top ten, but he's a brilliantly entertaining fighter and always has that genuine chance for an upset over anyone in the division.
Agreed. He's honestly pretty terrible, but his power sure is fun to watch. And you have to acknowledge his power really is quite impressive. There's genuine reason to be excited about him because he wouldn't have to become all that proficient in the non-power areas to become a real threat. Will that happen? Nah.
I enjoy watching him. He is clearly not at all elite with movement and skills being fairly average, but I love watching him because he possesses insane levels of power. The first KD was a grazing shot, and it bounced Durodola back off the canvas like he had been hit by truck.
I don't think he's overhyped at all. Seems more to me like people go out of their way to NOT make it come off like that by routinely mentioning his flaws/limitations when talk of his power comes up. Seems like people are programmed to apologize for huge punching action fighters with flaws at the time so they don't come off as overrating them, yet miss them immediately once the fighter retires. I see similar criticisms for Wilder, Lemieux, and pretty much every other vulnerable big punching action fighter. Just enjoy the ride for what it is. If the dude never makes it past contender level, I don't care. His fights are must-see TV.
He hits any of the champs (Usyk, Gassiev, Briedis, Lebedev) or indeed anyone at CW clean on the right spot with that left hook of his and at the very least they're going to know all about it. I don't care how good a chin you've got he can KO or stop anyone at CW if he catches them right with it.
Kudryashov is a limited puncher with a glass jaw. Sort of like an Earnie-Shavers type, on the upside. On the downside, he could be Gerry Cooney, somebody who gets brutally exposed when he steps up as just not having the mandible to hang with the big boys. Remains to be seen how it turns out. One thing's for sure, it will be exciting for however long it lasts. I love fighters like this.
