Hard to gage where Kudrya's at right now. Just based one what I've seen from both of them, I think Usyk boxes circles around him and wins a wide decision. But then again, if he really does have the ungodly power people suspect he does, than he can easily knock Usyk out as well.
I agree. Usyk has looked superb so far and I think he's ready for just about anyone at 200lbs. Kudrysahov would need to beat a higher calibre of opponent before I could pick him against someone like this, although his power does look terrifying.
No way to know. kud can't even get out of the first round. Does he have actual boxing ability? For all we know, he's a crude plodder with extraordinary power.
There is no question about his power. 17 wins, 17 KOs, and against good competition. Juan Carlos Gomez was one of the best cruisers ever and a legit heavyweight contender. Palacios came very close to being a champ himself. Neither lasted a single round. Just devastating power...no manufactured hype, but real, devastating, first round KO power.
Excellent fight. But I don't want to see it unless a belt is on the line. We'll probably see fights like this a year or two down the line when these guys have straps around their waist's
I was never real big on Kudryashov but I have obviously gleamed like the rest of you that his power is real. I will need to see him accomplish other things during a live fight before I consider a possible Usyk matchup. Usyk is looking great. I was also a big Jirov fan and recall him from the amateurs and how he developed as a pro and Usyk is much better than him at this stage.
If you watch one or two of the fights that he go rounds in its quite impressive. Some complain of him possessing slow feet which is true to an extent but he isn't some lumbering oaf, he has fairly educated stalking footwork in the Marciano, Saldivar, Chavez, GGG mold. Im not claiming it's on that level but he's educated with cutting guys off. Defensively with his upperbody movement he has some Dmitry Pirog qualities, employs a L formation and is quite slippery. He isn't just a puncher, biggest problem is he looks bored in there most the time since he doesn't feel threatened so you don't see it much.
He shows a little more against Suda stalking while slipping and rolling shots, using probing punches to set up power shots, etc. Begins at 12.30 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYp58qcgYsU
Sometimes he squares up a bit while stalking, but he does seem adept at picking off shots with his gloves on the on the way in. Good punching technique, too. Then again, Usyk has faced legit heavies in WSB and held up well against them, and I think his edge in handspeed and underrated punching power might be enough to keep Kudryshahov at bay and earn him a decision in a hard fought contest.
