Think he’s a great poster but I’m beginning to wonder if A- he’s related to Kuzmin or knows him personally, or B- he is Sergey Kuzmin. If he still believes he has it in to be a world champion after this I think we all know.

Maybe the first one, I don't think he is Kuzmin :D He is a great poster, I don't want to offend him at all by asking him about his opinion. I just know that he supports him a lot.

Bad performance. Wrong approach by Kuzmin. My opinion of him have dropped considerebly. Actually, Ajagba, Dubois and Demerizen seems lot better.

Yeah I overestimated him too. I thought he would dispose of Daweljko easily even though he wasn't that high on my prospect list.

Sometimes you ride with someone because you think you see something in them that doesn't pan out. It's no big deal once you realise your error.

Mansour got busted for a PED infraction right after the Kuzmin fight.

Take a 45+ year-old fighter off his PEDs and he's a different fighter.

What's troubling about Kuzmin's performance against Dawejko is that Joey only took that fight on 13 days notice. With another couple weeks - he might well have had enough in his gas tank to beat Kuzmin.

It's getting to be a very crowded division. Maybe Kuzmin could make some money fighting Povetkin in the latter's farewell fight - but aside from that Kuzmin is going to have to take some big chances in an effort to stand out from the competition.

Poor performance could be a ruse by Kuzmin to suck in a bigger fish?

Hes not awful, but relative to his skills and talent compared with his fights/results he certainly leaves an awful taste in your mouth. He consistently shows flashes of being such a better fighter and will have spurts where he displays a skill here and a skill there and then talent here and talent there and it's totally frustrating. He does have some very good skills and some very good talent though he is far from a blue chip can't-miss prospect. And your right, hes getting old -- maybe too old -- to be able to develop it all and tie it all together.

He is currently one of boxings biggest underachieving prospects or sure, but awful? Nah, hes far from that. Infuriating and agitating to watch a lot of times and consistently disappointing so far? Yea, all the way. Brother, he is FAR from awful though.

He swems like a guy whose power pans out and shows against taller opponents. Dewejko and shorter fighters in general, he doesnt seem to be able to get the right leverage on his shots. Don't forget, hes the guy that stone cold blitzed Joe Joyce and left him unconsciously KO'd in the AM's, with head gear and the way amateur gloves are padded or more specifically where the padding is in AM gloves......
Id say thats pretty impressive and I'm not gonna lie, if they fought each other next without hesitation id pick Kuzmin by highlight reel posterizing KO. Let me also say I'm not one of Joyce's biggest supporters/hypers and think he's getting iced very soon, like I'm all but certain he gets laid out within his next 2 fights to 3 at the most. So clearly my opinion of Joyce and his prospects as a pro aren't good to say the least -- though its nothing personal because he seems very likable enough a guy oitside boxing but with his tools and skills or rather lack of both I think his hype train is ending soon.

That also doesnt mean I think Kuzmin will ever be a top 10 HW -- because I don't. Hes not awful though. But he may be well on his way to trending there actually.

As big of an underachiever as Kuzmin has been as a pro relative to his skills and talent and hype coming out of the amateurs, he looks like a Madrimov type of cant miss bluechip prospect in comparison to the American HW Darmani Rock.

IMO Rock is noticeably more talented and skilled than Kuzmin, yet hes looked as bad if not worse while fighting guys worse than tomatoe cans. At least Kuzmin has increasingly been stepping up his level of opposition and has fought legitimate threats and boxers who have some semblance of talent, skill, and experience. Rock has literally joined the circus and has been on an absolute clown/bum circuit since the moment he turned pro. At least Kuzmin is literally TRYING and making a concerted effort into developing and reaching his potential, and fighting opponents he needs to fight to actually become a relevant HW.

Seriously, if you think Kuzmin has been bad, underachieving, and unable to come close to tying it all together, check out Rock. Actually, youd probably have to settle for reading about him instead because his opposition has been so bad that ita borderline lunacy putting Rock and his bum circuit on any card that has an ounce of respect.
