They have information buried in the description so might not turn up on regular browsing for boxing video so thought I'd pass these along... YouTube Channel is History Colorado KWGN-TV broadcast news reel (Reel KFN 695-699) March 19-20, 1974 (Leroy Jones vs Lou Rogan, Ron Lyle vs Oscar Bonavena) KWGN-TV broadcast news reel (Reel KFN 1751-1764), July 10-11, 1974 (interviews with boxers Jimmy Ellis and Ron Lyle regarding their upcoming fight.) KWGN-TV broadcast news reel (Reel KFN 1816-1819) July 12, 1974 (Ken Norton interviewed about the Ron Lyle - Jimmy Ellis fight, includes nice footage of Duane Bobick vs Donnie Nelson and a brief clip of Lyle-Ellis) I was looking for what was on YT of some fighters 72-75 and was thrilled to come upon this great footage. I went through all the ones labeled KWGN-TV on that channel, and besides some brief amateur boxing, I think I caught all the big stuff. Perhaps we should comment in a positive way to encourage more uploads - who knows what other rare Ron Lyle may be in their vaults.
Really nice find. Cool that you knew / figured out who Jones and Bobick's opponents were in this footage.
