Her opponent, Olga "La Cobra' Julio, is a 39 year old southpaw Colombian journeywoman with a 40-18-3 record, but on a long successful streak of 14 wins and 1 draw since 2018. She also has fought as high as featherweight.

I'm really curious to see whether Hamsat Shadalov or Erislandy Álvarez winds up slotted in as co-main event.

This card - the WBA's annual "Knockout a las Drogas" (basically, "KO drugs") extravaganza, was originally supposed to be split over two evenings, Friday and Saturday. Álvarez were to co-headline night 1 and Shadalov night 2. But then it all got smushed together into a single night. So we'll see what happens...

 

This is dreadful. I'd rather they just made Cháves vs. Ubarnes a 20-rounder tbh.

They show a "Mejor de la pelea" (best of the fight) highlight package...and it's literally all just clips of them butting heads and hooking each other in the shoulder. Because that's what happened for ten rounds straight.

La Avispa successfully defended whatever WBA trinket she has. Oh yeah, forgot - BoxRec and the WBA still have a feud going on, meaning the org's titles aren't shown on event pages. Cháves vs. Ubarnes was for some minor title as well, but Cháves missed the 154lb limit so it was on the line for Ubarnes only. Meaning whatever it was it's now (still?) vacant.
