Nobody...least of all Team Frampton....has ANY problem with a rematch. Carl, Shane and Barry have all said so. Repeatedly. If anyone was "amateurish" it was team LSC. Taking Frampton as a voluntary wasn't the best idea I've ever seen, was it?
Personally I think he should b applauded for taking it, we don't see that "lets have it" attitude in boxing these days
I agree with you. :good I think Carl won "the hard way".....and feel he would win a rematch easier. Can LSC risk two losses to Carl? It's not like LSC didn't show up. He was great. Carl was just better, that's all. The need to think about that too. We will see.
Has the rematch cluase been confirmed then? i read there was one then i read ther emight not be now this thread? It was a great fight and although i think duckton wins again in similar fashion i think its one of those fights that's well worthy for a rematch.
While it was competitive all the way, and LSC COULD win a rematch.....I feel Frampton would win the rematch "the easy way"..... A lot more jab-and-move..... In many ways Carl made harder work of the first fight than he needed to.
Nah, Santa Cruz loss fair and square no need for a rematch. Bring on Rigondeaux ASAP! or Oscar Valdez.
Got proof of that? At no stage have they said they don't want a rematch. Right after the fight Frampton said he wanted a rematch. You sound butt hurt.
LSC wont want this rematch. I've seen the fight again (cos of everyone crying about a robbery) and it's obvious he doesn't have the tools to beat the Brit. I'd be far more interested in a Quigg rematch.
As the ex champ who gave Frampton a tough fight, sure Santa Cruz deserves a rematch. But now that Carl's read him, he'd tidy up, avoid brawling in the spots he did, and win even more convincingly. For Santa Cruz's career he'd probably be better off not taking the rematch, at least not right away.
styles make fights and the lateral moving counter punching frampton is just not right for the flat footed brawler LSC. he would loose everytime lacking the power to just KO frampton.
