Martínez barking and jabbing, stepping forward with confidence. López has a strong moment about midway, landing a few push-through lead rights and cymbal-crash left hooks partially absorbed on the glove in front of Martínez's ear. Martínez then reassumes control, slowing the pace down, walking López down with accurate jabs and then putting teardrop rights in behind them, rocking López at times, but never able to cow him.

López is getting battered, arms starting to drop and spread apart with the pain of blocking so many shots begining to set in. Martínez slicing his way in, frisbeeing a left hook in between the gloves and then up across López's nose, then doubling up with a quickly retracted and reissued hook on the body. Martínez threading and weaving between López's backfoot flurries, mostly avoiding getting hit but willing to eat a few to keep pounding his man, sensing López is fading. Huge liver shot knockdown, and López takes a full ten count on all fours.
