Former WBO 130 lbs champion Jorge Rodrigo Barrios returned to the ring last night in Argentina.Barrios fought in an exhibition against retired former WBA 135 lbs champ Raul Balbi at the Club Social y Deportivo Juventud Tigre.Barrios is slated to return in an official bout in june or july against an opponent to be named in Argentina.

How do you guys think Barrios would fair against guys like Casamayor,Funeka,Antillon,David Diaz,Julio Diaz,Prescott,Santa Cruz or Escobedo cuz it's pretty clear he will be at 135 not 130.

He would definitely need to stay away from boxers cause they aren't his strong suit but he should make it interesting with most guys depending on how is body is treating him.

he is done...there is no way that a legit 135 contender would lose to a limited 130 pounder in rocky juarez...

i thought this guy is for real but he joins the long list of south american boxers who happened to be pseudo prospects

Yeah but the homecooking in the Juarez fight was horrible.

Any boxer that can make a Joan Guzman fight exciting is okay to me.

I think he'd beat Julio Diaz, Santa Cruz and David Diaz.

He's a toss up against Casa and Funigga. He's got the power to tap that dentable chin of Casamayor (too many big fights at this point) and Funigga seems susceptible to wild over hand rights. Him vs Ole Formega would be a great war.

I don't think he can beat Antillon,Escobedo or Prescott. I think Escobedo-Barrios would look a like like Escobedo vs Famoso.

I agree with what you've said here mostly.
I'm thinkiong what a war Escobedo vs Hernandez was.....wat a WAR Barrios vs Hernadez would have been like scheduled.
Anyway it's reported on another site that Barrios is in discussions with David Diaz.
