Let me be clear, not all Cuban fighters end up badly out of shape and embarrassing themselves, but it seems there's a definite trend for former Cuban amateur stars to lose their edge and become very, very soft---then lose.
No, just the heavies... And Mike Perez still has a chance to make something of himself, unlike his bloated countryman who's pretty much finished at this point. Ortiz looked fairly promising, but ****ing hot at 35-36 isn't exactly the best career move. I'd say he's probably finished as well.
I don't think that's Solis. First off.....Solis is dark skinned, and the fighter whp's face isnt shown is light-ish skinned. And Solis, as lazy as he can be, has NEVER been that fat. That's Galen Brown type fat right there.:think
Dude.... You play devils advocate way too much, Solis is nowhere near the shape a professional prizefighter should be in. He's a pig. 30-40 lbs of fat is WAY more than a professional athlete of any kind(baring powerlifters os strongmen) should have. Solis is a complete embarrassment to the sport.
Looks a little chubby under the skin flaps, but nothing too concerning. Solis is big boned, so I don't think the fat tubby has much to worry about grandpa Thompson. Easy UD for La Sombra.
:deal He wants a few more paydays, still has way more hunger and drive than Solis even though he's a decade or so older, had a late start and doesn't have half the experience Solis does. Have to respect Tony, Solis on the other hand is a disgrace. I hope Thompson retires him from the sport this week.
