Lacy was looking as good as he has since the Reid fight last weekend.

A little lighter and moving better than he had been, just he came up against a fighter too good in Joe Calzaghe victim Jones.

How do you see him doing in a fight with Froch?

Lacy takes it in my opinion, Froch is too slow to exploit anything and unliek Jermain Taylor, Lacy just keeps coming. He would laugh at Froch's power after what he has been through and walk him down. Lacy cannot be bullied by power alone.

Froch was easy to hit for Reid, all Lacy needs to get on another winning streak is a stationary target...like Froch.

Froch cannot do what Taylor, Calzaghe and Jones did to Lacy. It isn't his style.

If Calzaghe could put Lacy down, then Froch would put him away. Early doors as well.

Although Lacy looked better than he has in a few years by looking competitive for 2 rounds he didn't land clan at all on Roy. Froch will win a wide UD i don't see him KO'ing Lacy after some of the shots he took from Roy.

Lacy will swarm in throw a few punches none of them really landing clean or doing enough for Froch to show him respect.

 @ 7:00 into the Lacy video. ''JOE JOE CAN WE DO THIS JOE...I'LL COME WHERE UR AT!!'' i think Jeff wishes each day since the Calzaghe fight he kept his arse in U.S.

Onto Topic i feel Carl beats him...i think it be a great fight but i see Carl winning. Jeff's got a big heart but once things aren't going his way he doesn't have a plan b....never seems able to adapt and get to his opponent he just loses by a wide ud each time.

I think even Lacy can land on Froch, with relative ease as well.

And in Lacy he is facing an even more absorptive punchbag/come sponge than himself.

Yeah, but you have to hand it to him whatever his limitaions are/were, at least he was willing to step up to the plate and take the risks.

I agree. Carl is a a much more fluid boxer when he wants to be (still a **** defence though!) and has much more creativity and a stronger will. Lacy has a lot of heart to hang in there, but Carl has more determination to actually win. I can see Carl actually messing up Lacy pretty bad and stopping him. Carl can bang, and if he's bouncing them off Lacy's head all night something there's going to give (you can't look at what Lacy was able to take against Calzaghe because Joe doesn't hit with the fire power Froch does).

Great avatar by the way. Ayers is one of my all time fave domestic fighters, and a really cool guy too (had the privilege of meeting him ten years ago just after he had stopped Pablo Sarmiento). Nice to see him getting some appreciation on here. :good

He could probably land on him but Lacy will keep coming forward the thing is he doesn't know when to stop going forward. He spoiled his own work he brought Roy onto the ropes but didn't give himself space to let some shots go and when he did he was just throwing them for the sake of throwing them. He also didn't realise for 12 rounds that Roy was more than willing to let him push him there and pick him off. If they do end up trading on the inside Froch will rip him up he is quiet accurate on this inside as he showed against Pascal while Lacy doesn't do much or cover up well.

Yep totally agree Gaz..Carl's arkward and Jeff's predictable. Joe's dad said Lacy was easy and as you say Joe doesn't bang like Carl and he also had hand injury and still busted him up.

:good top man Gaz...loved watching Shaka fight as well....his show of sportsmanship against Rigby showed me why i love this sport....what a legend to stand there and do that. I'm from same area as him so i was already a fan of him but the way he fought and heart he had would of made me a fan. He beat some very good fighters...Colin Dunne was one name to mention. Blinding domestic fighter :bbb

You've got to be joking, blind or a complete hater not to see that Froch would retire this poor sucker.

Would be a close one while it lasted actually. Wouldn't be surprised to see Lacy win by KO around the middle rounds.

Great stuff. The Rigby fight was very inspiring and I remember watching that night and was actually proud to be a fan of boxing (doesn't seem we can say that too often nowadays!).
Do you have any idea what he's up to these days? Hope he's doing well.
