Very much agreed. I thought Tyspko edged him in that fight by a round (although I know he was injured) and he did not look good against Manfredo, and Manfredo is nothing but a decent club fighter. And then Epifiano Mendoza took him to the wall and he got a bit of a gift decision in that fight.

If Taylor is on his game, Lacy is going to get outclassed and ****ed up. If Taylor isnt on his game Lacy will just lose a decision. The only way I imagine Lacy winning is scoring with some desperation Highlight KO punch that just impacts right on the temple or chin. Otherwise it is his fight to lose

    LMAO.

    Why?

What in his last 3 fights show that he can beat an A class fighter? Also, you realized he RETIRED FROM BOXING....Until taylor came with a nice payday. You think he cares enough to all of a sudden cleanup a division??

Taylor is not an A class fighter. He has yet to beat ANY top level fighter at his weight convincingly. Without HBO he has three, maybe four, extra losses on his record.

Lacy should get knocked out, and swiftly.

His only victory here is to go the distance. It's possible, even likely, that Taylor carries him for 12 rounds, given that they are personal friends. At some point expect Lacy to show signs of submission, and Taylor to recognize this and let him off the hook.

For that reason, I can't bring myself to bet on Taylor by KO. He's too nice of a person.

The question for me is how JT will win. I'm looking to bet a lot of money on this fight but don't know if i should bet on JT via decision or KO. They were Olympic teammates. Will JT show some symphathy if he knows he can just outpoint Lacy or will JT go for the kill? I'm leaning more towards a decision but you just never know.

    Dude...

He was competitive with one of the best p4p fighters of the last 20 years...Competitive to the extent that 5/6 judges gave him decisions in his fights w/ hopkins.

He was also super competitive w/ top 5 p4p winky wright earning him a draw.

If being super competitive in your 3 fights vs. A class fighters doesn't make you an A class fighter.....I don't know what does.

Zakman is angry at Tayor, who is a capitalist running dog and works for $$$. However, the socialist hero Lacy will go down no later than the 8th round. He will, again, get Lacyfied as he was against Calzaghe. Lacy will then retire and start a commune in Florida.

Nah Taylor will win a wide decision in a good fight. The Calzaghe fight really took a lot out of Lacy. Should he lose convincingly Lacy should just hang em up.

Well, we may have different reasons, but we have the same outcome. If you are right, and Lacy is the same Lacy, then he will destroy Taylor. I do not think this to be the case, so I think it's likely to go a bit longer. But I do think that it will be proven just HOW mediocre and overated Taylor is.

One of the very few times I disagree with you, Zak. Either way, the fight should be a pretty good one. I have Taylor by UD.
