Well, if it goes to the cards, HBO may be able to work its "magic" for Taylor yet again.

LOL! let's hope that doesn't happen. Imagine all the nonsense we'll see the following day on ESB. Tell you the truth, if HBO has a hidden hand with the decision, I can see them favoring Lacy - since Lacy is a fan favorite do to his all out style of fighting.

I like Jermain, but Jeff's always been one of my favorite fighters, so I hope you're right.

this is one fight taylor should win clearly. i don't think he's going to stop lacy, but i think he'll win about 9 or 10 rounds. lacy's not the fighter he used to be unfortunately.

You're totally out of it when you mention Jermain was overhyped. I'm a Lacy fan and admit if anyone was WAY overhyped then it was Lacy and it's not even close to Jermain, I remember back then people talking about a possible fight with the two and MANY picking Lacy to score the KO. At least if Jermain was hyped he was hyped for beating Bernard Hopkins TWICE(regardless of how you scored it) and becoming the undisputed middleweight champion, that all alone justifies the hype 100%. Lacy was overhyped despite doing nothing in the division, he became a champion but what else?, there isn't a single major win on his resume worth mentioning to be honest, at least nothing compared to Jermain.

How can a fighter who gives Wright HELL, beats Hopkins twice not be a class A fighter?, that's an insult to Hopkins and Wright rather than an insult to Jermain.

Even if you scored all three of those fights for Taylor, which I'm sure a hater like yourself will have no shame to admit, you can't deny that they were tough and he gave them hell.

For an 86 year old man I would expect you to be at least A LITTLE bit mature, sadly we won't see the day till you visit the graveyard.

Why must one be a hater to have watched those bouts, and fairly judged their outcomes...???

Lacy comes off as a great guy so it's hard not to be a fan.

I think his power got him through early in his career but I just don't see it anymore. I don't know if its in his head or from his body but whatever the case is, without that power I don't see he being able to compete in the big times.

Lacy needs to win for the sake of his career, but I still think Taylor wins a UD.

I'm right there with you. I think there are only two ways this fight can end, Lacy by KO or Taylor by decision. And most likely, it's Taylor by decision. Lacy still has power, though, and in the early rounds, he may get lucky. Right now, Lacy is 10-1 by KO, TKO or DQ and Taylor is +120 by decision. Good odds if you feel those are the only two ways the fight can end.

And with this, Jermain Taylor is assured victory.

But he didn't beat Hopkins. What HBO's judges did to Bernard was criminal. And it would never have happened without the need to cash in on the hype. Same with Winky. Hell, if Pavlik hadn't knocked him out in their first fight, they were gonna do it to him too!

When the hype is the result of gift decisions, that's just what it is hype. Think if the judges had scored those fights for Hopkins and Wright, and you'll see why I say this guy is ordinary at best.
