Taylor-Lacy back on! Jim Wilkes, Jeff Lacy's attorney and adviser, has confirmed to St. Peterburg Times boxing writer John Cotey that Lacy will return to the ring against Jermain Taylor on November 15. "I'm telling you, as Jeff's attorney, a deal has been reached," Wilkes said. "It took a lot of work, a lot of effort, a lot of discussion, but we got it done." Monday, July 28 2008 sorry if already posted, but i guess lacy's retirement was short lived
i read yesterday - yesterday mind you - that lacy was moaning about cash and retiring. to be honest, i think he's going to humiliate himself against taylor. lacy is a cornflake box and nothing more.
lacey is gona get man handeled. he was better off retireing. i wonder what his excuse will be when he gets molly whaped:dead
We will see, there are two schools of thought: a. Lacy gets badly outclassed b. Lacy proves he is better than believed. I tend to lean toward the former
Lacy is horrible, though who knows how Taylor's chin will hold up at this weight. IMO Taylor wins with ease.
I hope Lacy gets ktfo after acting like a god damn prima-donna. Lost any respect I had for the guy after his 2 day retirement move.
That's exactly why Lacy has a better shot than most are giving him credit for. Taylor's chin wasn't rock solid at MW - which is why he mostly fought old or lighter weight fighters. It's not gonna be any better at this weight. The question is whether Lacy has enough left to get the shot in to do the job.
Because it works: www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=79873 And, it what I'm into. I think it's one of the most critical facets of the game. As you will see if you look at thread, not everyone agrees with me!
Taylor is sidestepping Froch and a title shot in order to fight Lacy because his career 'needs a win' at this point. That says where he feels the easiest fight is.
