Lacy wants Calzaghe or Tarver after Manfredo.

    Fcuk knows!

If he fights Calzaghe again, Joe will be charged with murder. I don't even think the sanctioning bodies would sanction such a rematch.

To this day, Calzaghe-Lacy is one the most one-sided bouts I've ever seen!

I hope & can't see a rematch happening. Joe will move up to LHW, where bigger, more lucrative bouts await him than Lacy. If Lacy beats Manfredo, then fight Tarver, that makes sense. If he beats Tarver, then take on Kessler.

    Kessler would beat Lacy though!

I like Lacy and I have always rated him highly. Just because he came up against one of best fighters of the last 20 years having his best night ever, doesn't make Lacy a poor fighter. If he is injury free, he still has a good future

What's all this hate for Jeff Lacy? Forgetting how brave he was to take all that punishment for 12 rounds - 5 more than he was expected to?

I watched the clip and Lacy was not talking bull****. He is not calling out Calzaghe or anything like that...asked whether he wanted a fight against the winner of JC-MK he had 3 options:

    1. I will beat the winner of JC-MK! (Froch)
    2. Sure I would fight the winner, but even more I would like to redeem myself with a better performance against Joe! (Lacy)
    3. I am not ready to fight someone as good as Joe or Mikkel, but soon, I will be! (Bute)

What is wrong with 2.? It's not like he made a point of talking about JC-MK or went out of his way to call Joe out!

    Jeff Lacy deserves more respect!:good

Agreed, nothing wrong with Jeff's answer. It's just been taken out of context.

He was asked a question about if he wanted the winner of Calzaghe/Kessler and he said he wanted to redeem himself agaist Joe what is wrong with that? Does he have a chance against Calzaghe? Of course not, but he is a proud fighter who went the full 12 getting whooped. What is he suppossed to say? Joe embarassed me for 12 rounds and keep me away from him?

I'm not saying Lacy isn't good because he is good but is he as good as other top SMWs. Bute, Froch, Miranda, Green, Inkin, Zuniga, Andrade, and Mundine. These are the top SMWs in my opinion aside of course from the very top 2. After a monumental beatdown at the hands of Calzaghe, also probably the most memorable mental breakdown of a defeated fighter you almost have to currently judge Lacy on everything since that beatdown. Now can Lacy hang(at least for a little while) with the above mentioned fighters? I'm sure of it. Can he beat ANY of them? Well not sure mates. What I can tell you is he certainly should be fighting one of them. Not Manfredo:-( :-( Please people don't try to validate Manfredo he will always be what he is a pretender:-( So ultimately I and many respect Lacy for his accomplishments and would like to see him do good however he has to prove himself once again. And of course we all know he can slaughter Manfredo but will he or will he struggle? Its very easy to wonder with Lacy:think

The Manfredo fight happens because Lacy wants to be famous again and make some money. This is how they do it in America after a big loss, apparently. Lacy has not impressed since his destruction at the hands of Joe...maybe he will never be what he was once...but there is no need to make him look bad when he doesn't deserve it...that was all I was trying to say.:good

True mate:good Respect:rasta On the topic of Lacy theres an interview with him on youtube probably a few months old and he weighed 200 plus can't remember exactly maybe 206 or something. Isn't that a bit freakish? I don't know it just seemed like it would be alot of work to get back down to 168 from that size. I imagine the more weight you have to lose for a fight the weaker you would be. your thoughts mate:think

I think going up to over 200 is bad...someone was saying that Calzaghe was going up to 190 and I thought that was very bad and unhealthy...but was told it was mostly muscle that requires a lot of energy...I don't know...I think anyting more than 190 during the off periods is doing a Hatton...

Lacy is under rated - he had a shocker against Calzaghe which is going to happen if you have no plan. He was injured early in his follow up fight. It would be interesting to see how his shoulder injury impact his performance but I am hoping he proves people wrong (even though he is not in the league of Calzaghe or Kessler)

look..we know lacy got his azz kicked last time...but can we appreciate a fighter that WANTS to really fight the best he can fight...even the ones who whooped their azz lasttime? You guys kill me....you bash the people that don't want to fight...the folks that want to fight once every 2 years n shyt....and bash the people that want to fight anybody.

I respect this dude for that...yall forgot how often he fought and how he NEVER backs down from anybody?

I think he could do better against calzaghe next go round...not sure if he has any chance of beating him...but i respect him for wanting another shot. I'm pretty sure he would tackle the situation differently.
