i understand adrenaline and that, especially if the neighbors a pal but unfortunately by restraining one of them your leaving your hands tied up from the ****s sidekick. He is in in a horrible situation as he could have been charged with using a dangerous weapon if he punched one of them (a boxers fist is legally classed as this). My dad was a good amateur boxer when he was young, and one day in Glasgow he seen a guy jumping on a woman's head, smashing it of of a curb, and told guy to get of her, guy continued so my dad punched him once and he got 18 months whilst other guy got of with a warning as my dad used a dangerous weapon 'in his hand'. Now this is the problem, and fact Crolla chased them over gardens through several streets, their defense will no doubt be they felt their life was in danger as a champion boxer was after them. Now in my opinion he done nothing wrong chasing them, or if indeed he did punch them as their scummy ****s but the court system gives these ****s so many outs its not true
That's disgusting, and they wonder why people don't want to get involved when they see a man bullying a woman. 1960s onwards the system has tried to punish the decent like your dad. You make a very good point about Crolla chasing them so far, they could get off completely. Ridiculous.
again, that is no response to my question, and i haven't stated my beliefs. you said the police should deal with murderers of women and kids, i wanna know why not men.
All the short comings of the legal system etc is not a policemans fault, especially a constable whos on patrol he responds to 999 calls and arrives to help someone in need.
About 10 years ago , I tooted the horn at a guy who cut in front of me on the freeway , no big deal , he drove dangerous i beebed my horn .. Except him and his mate took exception , slamming there brakes on , pulling alongside me , swearing carrying on , shouting what they would do to me and trying to force me off the road . They followed me , and at a set of lights , got in front and blocked me in ,, they got out threatening me , ect ect , i sat there while they screamed and threatened , , then thought fack it , i got out , they screamed and threatened , so i snotted one right in the mouth , he dropped and the other one i snotted him a few times , told them to fack off. They facked off . screaming assualt , bla bla bla . they took my number , police came and charged me . The judge said , it was highly unlikely that a man in his 50's with his wife in the car , would be out looking to fight 2 guys half his age , plus the fact , that both had previous history of road rage , it lent him to believe my side of the story But however it did not excuse the fact that , I threw the first punch , and escalated the situaion to violence , and found me guilty of 2 counts of assualt . He did however show some sence , and ruled no conviction recorded and gave me the smallest fine possible . He also warned them that they should count themselves lucky that a broken nose , and a tooth knocked out was all they suffered , , Next time he said your victim might have a gun Pont being , Crolla did chase them he did dare to put his hands on one ,, Don't be suprised if they claim self defence and get away with a fine
Moog fair play to you that you've never been in trouble and that, but you can't say Jail is too cushy and doing time isn't justice if you haven't been there. Let me tell you, mate Bar-L might no be the Victorian Hell hole it was 5-10 year ago, but it's still an overcrowded, nasty, horrible place. Very far from cushy, believe me....Any cu.nt that has spent a week there will tell you that. To say them and the boys at PYO shouldn't be allowed to eat, have a baby sitter or get an education is outrageous. I mean do you want them to slash, stab and kettle each other all day, and see what that kind negative impact that has when they're allowed back into society. The whole "Jail is a deterrent" thing is no black or white mate. You need to keep things in perspective and have a balance between positive support and punishment.
Good points Ryan. But sometimes prison IS pretty cushy. I remember years ago when Eubank sr was boxing. I ran into a friend in the street ..a prison officer..and asked him if he was going to be watching the Eubank fight on Tv. He said yes, he would probably watch it "with the lads". At the time I couldn't afford multi channel here in Ireland so, assuming he meant some friends of his I asked if he minded if I joined him. He laughed and said he meant the guys he was minding in jail. It sickened me that these guys in jail for crime were getting perks like this that guys like me often couldn't afford at that time.
Ryan i know loads of people that have been in Bar and they find it a walk in the park, minus the noise of the junkies. Especially the older ones who remember it when it was bad there words to me, its a holiday camp, you could do it standing on your head as most of them in their are the dafties. At end of day Ryan were I come from properly like you a man sorts his own problems out at unless its beasts or such like they dont like seeing anyone in the jail, I am no different.
Standing on each others toes more like (!) Barlinnie is by far the worst Jail in Britain, it's a f*cking sh!t-hole. If you want a holiday camp Addiewell's your place, moog. You've got your own peter in there. :deal
can you two degenerates stop going on about how tough jail is as some sort of rationale for NOT calling the police if, say, you or a loved one gets smashed over the head with a concrete block. I hope it is tough, remains tough, gets tougher for people that do this kind of thing. then maybe it wouldn't happen so frequently. It doesn't take a massive scan of TV to find a plethora of shows about prison life (or, come to that, lenient sentencing)... hardly any of which show it to be the horrific environment you are asking everyone to believe. Unless you've been there yourself and know better and can explain how then I don't see you've anything to add other than rubbish. People? Call the police.
Seen a doco on some Russian prison , in Siberia i think , it was renowned for being the worst prison in Russia , and fack me dead , it was a hell hole , excatly what aprison should be like . You would still have crime that will never stop , BUTif half the petty crims and t leaves knew they were going to spend a year or two in that place they would think twice. The comandent his thoughts, were they are scum , they commit crime and evil crime at that , so we treat them accordingly , and make there live has unpleasant has possible . Oh it also said no one ever gets out alive . How a prison should be , and for all the Mary Ellen bleeding hearts who don't agree , see how you feel after your daughter is ****d , your wife is mugged or your son hit on the head with a brick .
yeah, the English jails are alot softer than the Scottish ones with better conditions according to those who have done sentences on both sides of the border. Even one or two down there with 18 hole golf courses for the inmates, imaging giving guys in the Scottish jails a bag of golf clubs lol.
Moog Scotland is a backward place, years behind in everything in my book, especially the jails. The Jails up here are beyond anything that's down south and I don't believe they would be out of place in Turkey or China. If people prefer doing B&B in the "Big Hoose" to real life then there must be something tragically, tragically amis. God love them, man. Inequality and depravation is where a lot of this crime is born, mate. You need to consider factors like rising unemployment and social inequality and understand these factors affect crime.
