I didn't even realize she was the host of American Gladiators now (shows how much I pay attention to network tv and modern pop culture in general). So, has she pretty much said adios to pro boxing? Is she really going to have deprived women's boxing of the desperately needed baby step towards mainstream WNBA-style credibility that a Wolfe superfight would have been? Lame. Hopefully someone tinkles in her stinker.
I just don't see what is so entertaining about women boxing. Some are actually beatiful and risk facial permanent damage. Laila Ali is one beatiful and multi-talented female. Good for her to move on. There is Wolfe and then another, and then another, and then anther. It is just not the same as men and to hear that a mother of some kids died in the ring not so long ago makes it even worse. Laila Ali proved before she stepped away that she made it on her own and not with just the Ali name. Jeez, now they have women MMA and then there are kids training for this sport if you want to call it a sport. I still see it as street fighting. The Iceman proved that with most wins standing up. A prime Jones, Jr. would knock the Iceman out before he can even think of bringing him down.
i have no problems with women boxing...the wieght divisions need to be sorted out though. the fullest divisions are featherwieght...which should be middlewieght fo rthem... they now have an atom wieght division for the real small ones. laila ali is no way the best female boxer in the world by a country mile sanders is crude and will get exposed. holm has got the skills but isnt very talented i think it's becuase she has been promoted well as a 'normal' girl coupled with blonde hair and freckles makes it a easy promotion. jamie clampitt is more deserving and far better than bothe but she will never get that. watch out for this lass. Jisselle salandy. knows all the skills. started pro at 13...now at 21 she has one of the most dangerous games out there...sadly wont fight outside of trinidad and tobego http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=129093&cat=boxer
i also have no problems with woman boxing... but i sure do would like it if they were more exposed...their bodies i mean:yep
