Any thoughts on this Mongolian warrior? Lakva Sim was Mongolia's first boxer to capture a world title and was known for his extreme toughness, relentless pressure, in-fighting, and heavy handed power. He would first challenge for a world title in South Korea where he lost via Split Decision in a grueling phonebooth war against Yong Soo Choi. He would finally win a world title when he stopped Takanori Hatakeyama for his WBA Super Featherweight title. His time as champ would be very short lived as he would lose it in another close scrap in South Korea via Split Decision to Jong Kwon Baek. He would make yet another world title shot when he faced Yodsanan Sor Nanthachai in Thailand but fell short. Sim would finally recapture a title when he stopped Miguel Callist for the vacant WBA title but once again he would lose it in his very next fight against a 20 year old Juan Diaz. Sim's final fight would be his upset win over Ebo Elder in 2005.

Just a real battle hardened warrior with no quit in him. He was like a tank constantly marching forward and throwing bombs.

Some of his notable bouts. A brutally entertaining fighter to watch win or lose.
