So what's changed since 2020 when Lamanna absorbed a nasty one sided beating against Cota? I just caught up on this fight and Lammana had a bright red face with a split lip after one round of action. He only landed a few solid punches the entire fight. This content is protected Abreu is rough around the edges (So was Cota...) but power isn't one of his shortcomings. The line on this one started at evens, a pick' em, but people are pounding Abreu now and Lemanna has swelled to a +155 dog. What are your thoughts? Personally I think Abreu catches up to him up some point and closes the show, which would be the third time Lemanna has been knocked out in the last four and a half years.
Aside from most people having short memories now days.... not a goddamn thing. I picked Cota to win by KO too for the record.
Did you read how, by his own admission, Lamanna ballooned up to almost 240 pounds and started drinking and smoking after the Lara loss? People that can't handle losing should really consider if boxing is in their best interest.
Nope, but it doesn't shock me in the least. I agree. For the record.... I get drinking after losing to Cota, but why did the loss to Lara prompt that kind of reaction? What? Was he actually expecting to win that one? I guess it was the manner of the loss.
Yeah at least with Cota he got a handful of shots in, lasted a while and was bailed out by his corner. In that same interview he keeps going on about how he just got caught against Lara, this and that. I don't know, they've been trying to make this guy into some kind of feel good homegrown hero for years now and it's never taken. I remember they showed footage of him proposing to his girlfriend before the Cota fight and made a big deal about how she was ring side. I don't know. I just feel like Lamanna is out of touch with his actual ability. He's not terrible per-say, there are lots of worse fighters. I mostly feel like his defense is garbage and he doesn't take a shot particularly well.
