Brewster is finished. He was totally shot against Wlad the second time around, he should stay retired.

Yeah, best for him to retire while he's not punch drunk yet. Plus that eye injury will always be lurking around the corner..... i think his rematch with Wlad was quite a lucrative one for him - money wise - and i hope he can live off that for a while. He's one of the classiest boxers around.

Brewster-Liakhovic was fantastic, but unfortunately, neither of them has looked good ever since.

Don't think he was shot, he fought as he always does but the improvement Wladimir showed made Brewster look as horrible as "shot".

True. Brewster still would've KO'd Golota & Krasniqi if he were rematching either of them instead of Wlad.

Exactly and Brewster was in better shape than he was for the first fight against Wladimir.

Brewster may not be "shot", but he lost his heart. The injury gave him a scare. When he fought Wlad, he said he was no longer interested in taking too much punishment, he said that he wanted to develop a more defensive style.
While it's a wise idea to try to not take too much punishment in a fight, that was what Brewster biggest strength was. He was no great tacticion, he did not have exceptional speed. THe only thing he had was grit and will. Without this Brewster is not worth much at the elite level. Thus While Brewster may not be totally "shot" he is finished as a fighter with any hope of being counted amunst the top of the division.

Not really he didn't have anywhere near the same fire. Brewster was a warrior, I'm a big fan of him, but he was spent. Coming off of a near career ending eye injury/surgery, a slugfest loss, and over a year out of the ring he didn't look like the old warrior Brewster..

I agree with that. His style was outslugging and out toughing his opponents, not his boxing skill. Which was pretty poor by the way.

IMO, he was always shot and lucky to have beaten Wlad the first time, and lucky to have caught Golota too.

Brewster is not the same fighter at all anymore.

Hell, he hasn't won a fight in 3 years.

His best move would be to stay active and pick up some easy wins.

Than when another big payday comes-cash in and get out.

He has been in some brutal fights and has a chance to get out while in one piece.

Unless he is going back to the style that brought him success, the take 5 to give 1 style, he is giong to be beaten badly. I would hope that he is beaten quickly and that nothing bad happens to him.

That was a tremendous war, one of the best heavyweight fights of this decades. When you also factor in the beatings he took in both Wlad fights and even against Kali Meehan, where he ate a lot of shots, and Lamon has had enough.

He seems a very intelligent guy, and would be wise to retire with that still going for him. He'd make a good trainer.
